President Hamid Karzai has signed a law the UN says legalises rape in marriage and prevents women from leaving the house without permission.

The country that The One calls Pah-kee-stahn, essentially legalized marital rape and imprisonment. I doubt we'll hear narry a peep from femenists since for democrats, liberal politics supplant literally every other belief, even anti-rape. And for Obama, embracing the world's most up-and-coming radical, Islamic state, Pakistan, is liberal, political priority number one, even if they say it's OK to rape and imprison your wife.

Dayana Mendoza visits Club Gitmo

Under Obama, your SUV's and trucks to be replaced by hybrids

Now that GM stands for Government Motors, King Obama has decided that he and the skeevy bureaucrats in government know best how to run the company successfully. And success to Obama is Americans buying the cars he wants us to buy rather than the ones we want. You see, democrats hate that Americans stubbornly continue to buy pick-up trucks and SUV's. They would rather we drive stupid, tiny, hybrid death traps instead. And despite the fact that 11 of the 12 most profitable vehicles that GM makes are pick-ups or SUV's, Obama says that GM must phase out those models in favor of smaller, high-gas-milage, hyprids and sub-compacts that nobody wants to drive.

In order to create demand for these clown cars, Obama will find a way to raise dramatically the taxes on petroleum companies so that prices at the pump are so high that we have no choice but to drive stupid hybrids. He'll probably raise corporate tax rates first, and then use the moronic cap-and-trade scheme to force prices at the pump even higher.

For liberalism to work, Americans need to be suffering, so democrats will do whatever they can to prolong our suffering.

Under The One, if you drive one of these, you'll be an enemy of the State.

Another harebrained idea to save the polar bears

On TRR I've listed many things I'd pay good money to see. Well, this might be the thing I'd pay the most to watch....

As the climate crisis mounts and Arctic icebergs slip away, polar bears are suffering starvation, population declines, and drowning as they must swim further and further to find food. Seeking to raise awareness for the endangered species' plight, ADDI Concepts has taken wildlife preservation literally by designing a life-vest for displaced polar bears struggling to stay afloat as their homes sink into the sea.

It's too bad that the polar bear population is actually increasing, because of the exploding population of seals and fat, slow-moving environmentalists. Still, I'd love to watch them attempt to put a life vest on a polar bear.

Joe Biden, the gaffe that keeps on giving

Obama seems to be the only person who doesn't know that he's abysmally lacking in executive experience, ability, or qualification to be President. In that way, he's the personification of the Emperor with no clothes. If that's the case, then Joe Biden must surely be the royal court jester.

If you recall, a month before the Spanish elections, Al-Qaida bombed the train station in Madrid. The cowardly Spanish people promptly elected an equally cowardly President in Zapatero. He won by promising to make nice with Al-Qaida and by promising not to lift a single finger to help the US rid Iraq of the Butcher of Baghdad in return for not bombing any more Spanish targets. One finger he did lift was his middle one, toward the US by pulling out of Iraq.

Biden was in Chile meeting with Zapatero last week and remembered to thank Zapatero for Spain's help in Iraq. What an idiot, and what a perfect representative of the most inexperienced, unqualified administration in US presidential history.

Human Achievement Hour

You've probably heard by now that the stupid, yearly practice of pretending that we are third-world peasants by turning our lights off for an hour is supposed to happen today....it's Earth Hour Day Appreciation Time or something. The idea is that by by bruising your shins and stumping your toes on the furniture for an hour tonight, somehow you demonstrate acknowledgement of the imaginary hobgobblin known as global warming.

Here's a better idea for all TRR readers around the world. Between 8:30 and 9:30 local time, turn all your lights on to show appreciation for mens' conquest of and dominion over the elements, including the darkness. Simply by doing all the things you normally do at night, you are by default thumbing your nose at the morons who're sitting in darkness. If you have a smelly-hippie environmentalist for a neighbor who's house is dark, call him up and tell him to look across the street and witness your performative testament to human achievement.
Then, to really make him feel stupid, ask him to look up a phone number for you.

If it's 8:30-9:30 where they live, these people must be free-market, capitalist conservatives.

Obama's grand experiment in socialism

My wife sent this anecdote to me and though it might be urban legend(there are no confirmed witnesses to this event and I wonder how many college students know enough about socialism to defend it), I thought it was a good example of how bad socialism(State-forced wealth redistribution) is.

Experiment in Socialism

An economics professor at Texas Tech said he had never failed a single student before but had, once, failed an entire class. The class had insisted that socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer. The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on socialism."

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. But, as the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided that since they could not make an A, they studied less. The second Test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame, name calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for anyone else. All failed to their great surprise and the professor told them that socialism would ultimately fail because the harder people try to succeed the greater their reward but when a government takes all the reward away; no one will try or succeed.

Think about how Obama's redistributive vision of America might turn out.

Hollywood's and the liberal media's new darling

Now that the media's and Hollywood's drooling love-affairs with Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro have kind of run their course, they'll be looking around for another America-hating socialist to hold up as heroically resisting American hegemony in our hemisphere. Well, they will have found him in Brazil......

Brazil's President, while meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown Thursday, said the global financial crisis was caused by "white people with blue eyes."

Liberals love to hate America and rant endlessly about how evil capitalism and free markets are. Whenever they can find somebody from a poorer country who blames America for everybody's problems, they'll latch on to him as if he's the second coming of Christ....just like they did with Castro and then Chavez. But the icing on the cake is his singling out of white people as the specific villians. Liberals love singling out white people for abuse. In some perverse catharsis, it alleviates their own white guilt for a time.

I swear, there is nothing as annoying as guilty, white liberals.

We should expect some things from the handout class

There are bills making their way through some state legislatures that would require random drug testing for anybody who sucks at the public teat by consuming one or more of the generous welfare benefits we productive taxpayers make available to the unproductive. Predictably, democrats are against holding anybody to any standards as doing so might feel judgemental. Plus, denying welfare recipients the freedom to indulge in the vices that made them destitute in the first place might result in a few less democrat votes come election time. And let's face it, showering the deadbeat masses with fabulous cash and prizes of other peoples' money isn't about helping them, it's about insuring they remain unmotivated and dependent on democrats and therefor likely to vote to keep the booty coming.

I fully support drug testing of derelicts on the public dole. And I would go one step further. I would fully support mandatory, implanted-style birth-control for any female that lives off the earnings of others and from whom nothing more is expected. If she refuses implantation birth control, then she receives no benefits. Moreover, any girl on welfare who gets pregnant should have to name the father(if she knows him)or risk termination of benefits, so the authorities can immediately begin seizing earnings and/or property to help pay for his offspring.

It's time to stop celebrating freak-show irresponsibility like Nadya Suleman's, and expect something from them like no drugs and no more kids. It's the least they can do to repay a generous and compassionate society.

SAGINAW, Mich. — A man police caught performing a sex act with a car wash vacuum has been sentenced to 90 days in prison.
Jason Leroy Savage must also submit to drug testing.
The 29-year-old from Michigan, was sentenced Wednesday at Saginaw County Circuit Court.
Savage pleaded no contest to indecent exposure last month.
Police say Savage was arrested after a resident called officers early on Oct. 16 to report suspicious activity at a car wash in Thomas Township, about 90 miles northwest of Detroit.
Savage's attorney, Philip Sturtz, didn't immediately return a message seeking comment.

Don't you know that the Savage family is proud this man. Sex with a vacuum hose. I wonder if he had his trusty "Penthouse" fold out with him? Jason has peaked at a very low sexual level. I wonder if it was one of those machines that work after quarters are deposited? I also wonder what happened with the remaining minute and a half on the timer? Apparently, the California Air Resources Board figures that the climate control systems of dark colored cars need to work harder than their lighter siblings – especially after sitting in the sun for a few hours.

For heaven's sake! What possible relevance to the plane crash does "retreat for the ultrarich" have? None at all. The stupid, jackass reporter that wrote it is suggesting, and not too subtly, that because they were ultrarich, that they probably deserved to die in a fiery plane crash. Otherwise why add that qualifier?

This is what Obama has wrought in America....open class warfare and resentment toward anybody who has more than you. It's disgusting and shameful!

An armed populace won't be victimized

Down in Miami, citizens who have conceal/carry permits don't get robbed at Burger King....

The robber entered wearing a ski mask. He approached a clerk, showed his gun and demanded money, said Miami police spokesman Jeff Giordano.

A customer eyed him and the two started arguing. The customer had a concealed-weapons permit and his gun -- and the two exchanged gunfire.

The robber crumpled to the floor and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Who knows how many customers might have been killed if that hero hadn't put the robber down? Good for him.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: where ever conceal/carry permits are obtainable by ordinary, law-abiding citizens, you have far less violent crime because the bad guys never know who's packing heat and who's not.

(CNN) -- An Indonesian fisherman has been killed by Komodo dragons after he was attacked while trespassing on a remote island in search of fruit, officials said Tuesday.

Muhamad Anwar, 32, bled to death on his way to hospital after being mauled by the reptiles at Loh Sriaya, in eastern Indonesia's Komodo National Park, the park's general manager Fransiskus Harum told CNN.

"The fisherman was inside the park when he went looking for sugar-apples. The area was forbidden for people to enter as there are a lot of wild dragons," Harum said.

This guy must have really, really liked sugar apples.

Would you trust a condom made in China?

Call it a condom conundrum.

At a time when the federal government is spending billions of stimulus dollars to stem the tide of U.S. layoffs, should that same government put even more Americans out of work by buying cheaper foreign products?

In this case, Chinese condoms.

That's the dilemma for the folks at the U.S. Agency for International Development, which has distributed an estimated 10 billion U.S.-made AIDS-preventing condoms in poor countries around the world.

But not anymore.

In a move expected to cost 300 American jobs, the government is switching to cheaper off-shore condoms, including some made in China.

The switch comes despite implied assurances over the years that the agency would continue to buy American whenever possible.

First they loaded up toys with lead paint, then they killed a bunch of pets with melamine-laced dog food, then somehow diethylene glycol(engine coolant) found it's way into toothpaste imported from China. According to Americans who've visited the manufacturing sector there, oversight, quality control, and basic standards of safety are non-existant. That may be fine if all you're buying is rubber dog crap but, would you trust the prevention of AIDS to a country that you cannot trust not to accidentally put anti-freeze in toothpaste?

The police can commit highway robbery

I generally take the side of the police on most things but, I disagree with the practice of seizing cash from people in the absence of any crime associated with it.....

Going 62 in a 50-mph zone, a Jeep barreled west on a slippery, snow-covered Airport Expressway on Valentine’s Day and blew past an Allen County sheriff’s squad car.

One traffic stop later, two men inside the Jeep were outside being patted down by officers. They acted nervous, according to a police report. At one point they looked as if they wanted to fight; at another they looked as if they wanted to flee.

In the Jeep’s back seat, police found more than $26,000 in cash wrapped in a stocking cap.

Though officers held the two men for a short time in squad cars, they were eventually released without charges, save for the driver receiving a citation for driving with a suspended license.

And the money? The police kept it.

There's too big of a potential conflict here. The police force benefits greatly from these cash seizures, so they'll expand the definition of "reasonable suspicion" to include just about everything so they can get as much as possible. It's a slippery slope for society to be on when the police force can steal money from people for almost no reason.

To Democrats, everything is race-based

Political correctness and racial quotas plague government schools....

Racial and ethnic information, collected when children register for school, can inform school board decisions on reading programs, discipline procedures or admissions policies for gifted classes. The government looks at test scores of minority groups to help determine whether schools make the grade under the No Child Left Behind law. In an increasingly data-driven culture, educators also scrutinize such test scores and enrollment figures to pick programs meant to narrow achievement gaps and equalize academic opportunity.

In government schools, it's all about equality of outcome, not equality of opportunity. Honors programs aren't merit based, they have to have precise ethnic representation. Teachers must dumb down the curriculum to make sure even the stupidest kid in class can pass. Diversity training, ethnic sensitivity, and eco-awareness have replaced reading, history, economics, and math as the core areas of study. It's no wonder the next generation of leaders will be witless slackers who cannot speak clearly, think rationally and analytically, or make logical decisions....they've never had to. But they'll still thing really highly of themselves because their self-esteem will have been stroked for the last 20 years.

The Messiah gets cheap laughs at the expense of the mentally handicapped

Only the personal lord and savior of liberals can make disparaging jokes about the mentally retarded on national TV and get away scott free....

Toward the end of the interview on Thursday, Obama told host Jay Leno he's been practicing at the White House's bowling alley but wasn't happy with his score of 129.

Leno complimented Obama on the score, but the president quipped, "It was like the Special Olympics or something," which prompted laughter from the audience.

If a republican had said something this insensitive and outrageous, there would be hell to pay with the media but, this deranged media shrugs, and looks the other way no matter what Obama says. It just shows you, the political correctness of never questioning The One, supercedes any, any other political correctness regardless of the conflict. So Obama can ridicule the retarded all he wants. Handicapped people are less protected than the preception of The One.

Big Brother will be watching where you drive....and charging you for it

You know how the economy is in trouble and pretty much every American family is having to restrict it's spending and conserve it's resources? Well you'd think the same dynamic would apply to government spending--when tax revenues naturally decrease, government must restrict it's spending and conserve it's resources too.....well, not exactly.....

State officials say Minnesota is working on a pilot program to test the idea of charging drivers for each mile they drive. Other states around the country are considering a vehicle mileage tax, as revenues from the gas tax are expected to decline.

Tim Pawlenty is supposed to be a good conservative. At least he portrayed himself that way in the primaries. Why doesn't Minnesota government reduce it's spending to reflect the loss of tax revenue from lower gas prices and people driving less? Everybody else has to do with less, why not the government?

This just illustrates why all politicians are basically craven, power-addicts. They'll throw all ideology aside before giving up political power by cutting spending. Government will never do with less tax revenue. It will always expand but never contract and it will always, ALWAYS find a way to get more money from you, regardless of stated political ideology.

Americans driving on this road will be a cash bonanza for RINO governors like Pawlenty.

Liar Chris Dodd throws Obama under the bus.....heh, heh

If any one Senator is to blame for the mortgage and banking catastrophe, it's Chris Dodd. He took what appear in hindsight to be bribes to interfere with regulators on behalf of Fannie and Freddie, whos collapse led to the insurance trouble with AIG. Dodd has been denying that he had anything to do with the bonus contracts of AIG which awarded executives millions even as the company took taxpayer money to stay afloat....

In a dramatic reversal Wednesday, Sen. Chris Dodd confessed to adding language to a spending cap in the stimulus bill last month that specifically excluded executive bonuses included in contracts signed before the bill's passage.

Dodd, D-Conn., told FOX News that Treasury officials forced him to make the change.

"As many know, the administration was, among others, not happy with the language. They wanted some modifications to it," he said. "They came to us, our staff, and asked for changes, and the changes at the time did not seem that obnoxious or onerous."

This is hilarious! Dodd is blaming Obama for the AIG bonus debacle. It's about time a democrat threw Obama under the bus for a change. It won't stick though, Obama is still made of teflon, at least for now. Dodd will just have to eat this one and hope he can get re-elected in spite of lying for days to the American people.

Post-partisanship....just another campaign lie told by The One

Predictably, the Obama administration has completely politicized the US census by enlisting the deplorable and corrupt A.C.O.R.N. to help recruit census takers....

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now signed on as a national partner with the U.S. Census Bureau in February 2009 to assist with the recruitment of the 1.4 million temporary workers needed to go door-to-door to count every person in the United States -- currently believed to be more than 306 million people.

Given the illegal shananigans the ACORN thugs pulled during the election of The One, and it's demonstrated disregard for the law, there's no telling what the US census will look like when their volunteers get ahold of the forms. I predict that Detroit, Chicago, Manhattan, Philadelphia, L.A., and most of the Pacific Northwest, all democrat strongholds, will experience dramatic and unexplained population explosions that require dozens of additional representatives in Congress. At the same time, Bible-belt states like mine, traditionally GOP states, will suddenly find that they are over-represented.

The candidate who promised to be the most non-partisan President in history turns out to be a liar and the most partisan President.

The new Camero

GM is desperate to get people interested in their cars for a change, so they'll be rolling out the new Camero soon. I've never been a big muscle-car fan, and this one looks like a less exotic hybrid of a late model Corvette and a Dodge Viper.

Whatever, if GM can stay afloat by selling redesigned Camero's to emotionally-stunted rednecks with mullets who pick up underage girls at the roller-rink and to self-adoring, guido douchebags from Jersey, good luck with that.

Obama is a socialist, and an incompetent one

There are rumors of democrats in DC whispering that Obama may actually be as incompetent as we conservatives told them he was. It seems that all he's done is promote spending huge amounts of money to fix literally every problem he encounters. That's the socialist part. That he has offered nothing else and leaves the details of the spending to Nancy Pelosi and Rahm Emanuel to work out is the incompetent part.

I think he knows he's in way over his head. And he doesn't have the self confidence that comes from the experience that most Presidents have, to form policy ideas of his own. All he knows to do is spend money we don't have and demonize the rich so he can raise their taxes to pay for the spending. Levi Johnston......deadbeat dad?

Looks like Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston wont' be staying together after all, despite having a baby together. Raise your hand if you saw this coming....let's see, that's one, two,.....OK that's like everybody.

Johnston said they needed time to grow up before following through on marriage plans.

"It's just us not, me not being mature enough, or something, and having a kid and thinking ... it could be better -- better for us to separate for a while," Johnston said.

So while he's growing up, maturing, and essentially continuing with his childhood, Bristol is busy at home actually being an adult with their child. So Levi figures he's mature and grown up enough to bang 16 year old Bristol but, he's not grown up enough to deal with the inevitable consequences of banging her. Great example he's setting.

I received an alarming e-mail from alert reader David this morning. Apparently the government will be handing out free cell phones to every derelict, degenerate, and bum who is already getting a handout. Here's the ad.....

Why should I care if some crack-head on foodstamps in the hood has a cell-phone or not? The only person he'll be speed-dialing is his pusher to get another fix, or the local welfare office to demand, "Where my check at?"

Slowly, perniciously, and steadily, the government is removing anything negative about being a lazy, good-for-nothing bum. With welfare, medicare, foodstamps, HUD housing, free school lunches, now free cell phones, and other very generous hand-out programs, what's the reason for even trying to get a job, be responsible, get educated, stay off drugs, an not have babies? Insidiously, the government is making as many people as possible dependent on it for everything. And the only thing they'll want in return is votes.

Rewarding Failure and Incompetence

Despite the irony of Barney Frank lecturing AIG on corruption, given that he is as contributory to the economic mess as any one person is, I have to agree with him on this....

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Rep. Barney Frank charged Monday that a decision by financially strapped insurance giant AIG to pay millions in executive bonuses amounts to "rewarding incompetence."

Echoing outrage expressed on both sides of the political aisle in the wake of revelations that American International Group will pay roughly $165 million in bonuses, Frank said he believes it's time to shake up the company.

"These people may have a right to their bonuses. They don't have a right to their jobs forever," said Frank, a Massachusetts Democrat who is chairman of the House Financial Services Committee.

The federal government shouldn't be dictating compensation or bonuses for anybody but themselves. That's a function of stockholders and compensation boards. That said, neither does the federal government have any, any business using taxpayer money to prop up failing companies in the first place....PERIOD!!!

But since the taxpayers own 80% of AIG, (i.e., we are the majority stockholders now) and many of us are losing our jobs, should they be doling out hundreds of millions in bonuses? Bonuses for what exactly? This company would be in ruin but for the taxpayers. What have these guys done to deserve bonuses? Bonuses are awarded for being highly successful, not miserable failures. I heard this weekend that at the end of 2008, when AIG knew they would be getting a huge bailout of cash, they quickly and secretly re-wrote their executive compensation contracts so several thousand of them could collect millions in bonuses that they would have otherwise lost. Barney Frank is right on this one.

The stupid argument for allowing the bonuses and unrestricted compensation packages is so the best and brightest financial minds will stay in US companies rather than go overseas to work for European banks which have no such restrictions. Best and brightest? Are you kidding me? These idiots knowingly bankrupted their companies while enriching themselves. I don't give a damn if they go to Europe. Let 'em. If Europe wants our incompetent executives, they can have them.

Bottom line: if you are too stupid to be successful on your own and you take money out of taxpayers' pockets, you must accept regulation, transparency, and reasonable limits on compensation. If that's unacceptable, then quit and move to Europe. We don't want you anyway.

Buyers' Remorse over Geithner?

It seems that the Boy Wonder, Little Timmy Geithner, is not impressing anybody in DC, most importantly Obama. Apparently there have been rumors and rumblings within the WhiteHouse that it may be time to think about replacing the person about whom we were lectured by Obama, is the only person on Earth who understands the US economy to the point that he can single-handedly fix it.

My question is if the Boy Wonder wasn't the right choice, how can we trust that the 700billion T.A.R.P., the 900billion stimulus, and the 410billion omnibus bills were the right choices too? If Obama's instincts were so flawed that he turned over the job of recession recovery to a single guy who looks like a hung-over frat boy, doesn't that introduce obvious and serious questions about his instincts on every big decision? Of course it does.

Once again, we are reminded of how abysmally inexperienced, imcompetent, and unprepared Obama was to lead the country.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The White House objected Thursday to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's description of the United States as a "deadbeat" donor to the world body.

Ban used the phrase Wednesday during a private meeting with lawmakers at the Capitol, one day after he met with President Barack Obama in the Oval Office.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said Ban's "word choice was unfortunate," given that the U.S. is the largest contributor to the United Nations.

The United States pays 22 percent of the organization's nearly $5 billion operating budget but is perennially late paying its dues.

Asked whether Ban should retract his comment, Gibbs said some recognition by Ban of the U.S. role would be appropriate.

"I think given the contribution that the American taxpayer makes, I do think it would be appropriate to acknowledge that role," Gibbs told reporters at his daily briefing.

The awful, dispicable UN does not one good thing, anywhere on Earth. The blue-hats are much more likely to be implicated raping children, stealing from people, and funneling money to brutal dictatorships than they are stopping violence. In fact, where there is violence and shooting, that's the place you can count on not finding any UN troops. But that's where you'll always find American troops doing the job the UN is supposed to be doing.

The American taxpayer is robbed year after year to pay for this collection of kooks and anti-American despots to hang around New York and criticize us. The more virulently anti-American you are, the more of a hero you will be to the UN audience. The more you oppress your people, the more you steal aid money, and the more corrupt your dictatorship, the more favorably the UN will gaze upon you.

Yet, in spite of the hostility toward the US among UN representatives, President Obama wants to loot the American taxpayer for still more cash to fork over to Ban Ki-Moon for the UN's pointless, idiotic adventures in child rape around the world.

Wal-Mart soon to be the nations largest union shop

Wal-Mart, the nation's largest employer other than the federal government, is squarely in the cross-hairs of liberals who hate that it's not unionized.

Citigroup downgraded Wal-Mart Stores Inc (WMT.N) to “hold” from “buy” saying the proposed card check legislation would increase labor costs and could be a significant drag to earnings for the world’s largest retailer.

“We believe that WMT would be the primary target if EFCA/card check were to be passed,” analyst Deborah Weinswig wrote in a note to clients.

If the unions are successful, the company would have to concede higher wages for more seasoned employees, increase employee benefits significantly, and would experience diminished workforce flexibility, the analyst said.

Wal-Mart has done more to enable poor people to afford nice things than all government, handout programs put together. But it remains union-free. This infuriates liberals who have sold their souls for union support come election time. This dreadful card-check bill will raise prices at Wal-Mart significantly. But socialist liberals don't care about the poor, they only care about inflating union rolls because all that money comes to democrats during elections. The last thing we need is for hundreds of thousands of Wal-Mart workers to become lazy, worthless, slackers because as union laborers, they can't be fired.

Labor markets are like any other markets. They are subject to supply and demand forces. At Wal-Mart, the jobs pay exactly what the market dictates they should pay. If they were too low, people by the hundreds wouldn't be applying for each job opening. Obama and the democrats have union favors to return and card-check is how they're doing it.

Wal-Mart should go John Galt if card-check is passed. They should announce that they are closing up shop and moving to China and Europe. It would serve the democrats and the thankless employees who want to unionize right.

Sometimes it's best to play hookie

MANILA, Philippines — A 10-year-old girl was decapitated by a crocodile in a Philippine lake after the creature knocked over her canoe, police said Wednesday.

The girl and a classmate were on their way Saturday to their floating school on Agusan del Sur province's Mihaba Lake when the 23-foot-long crocodile bumped the boat, causing it to capsize, said Bunawan town police officer Melchor Danuco.

Rescuers found the girl's headless body floating on the lake on Tuesday, he said.

The classmate was rescued by a man escorting the pair in another boat, said Roel Hipulan, head of the private group that runs the school in remote Bunawan town.

"It's a monster crocodile," Hipulan said, adding that he had seen the creature. He said salt water crocodiles, some bigger than a bus, are known to inhabit the lake.

This kind of makes my complaints about the 4th-grade bully taking my lunch money seem kind of silly. Good grief!

With the country in a dramatic slide toward a mediocre, European-style nanny-State, many are wondering if it's possible that Obama could be this treacherous and do this to us intentionally, or the equally scary version, could it be that he's really that incompetent? Could it be that we have placed a 4year old at the wheel of a speeding car?

I believe it's a little of both. Yes he and his cabinet, especially Wonder Boy Timothy Geithner, are miserably incompetent boobs who haven't a clue how to fix the economy or anything else for that matter. But what they do have is a radical, far-left, socialist agenda that is much easier to implement when people are miserable and suffering. It's not about fixing the free markets and allowing unfettered capitalism to fix itself, it's about the government, run by them, controlling everybody and everything.

They(Obama, Emanuel, Pelosi, Reid, Soros, Hillary, etc) already control the willing, submissive media, and they indoctrinate our children through the dreadful public education system. Further, they intend to seize control of the internet by ceding it's operation over to the U.N. which will immediately start collecting taxes on it. They intend to seize control of 1/8 of the US economy which is health-care, by giving away free services to vast numbers of deadbeats and illegals. As you know, they are currently taking control of banking, mortgage, and some manufacturing. To the extent that any banks or industry is left uncontrolled by the government, Obama plans to use the pernicious carbon cap-and-trade scheme to control which remaining, healthy industries succeed and which ones fail. And finally, though the US punishes businesses with the second highest corporate tax rates in the world, he plans to further eliminate off-shore tax breaks that allow US businesses to compete globally.

I swear, if you wrote a fictional plan to destroy the US from within, you couldn't come up with a more treacherous scheme than what The One is implementing right now.

If you are a business owner and you have the means, get out now while you can. Ireland and the Czech Republic come to mind as friendly havens for business, or one of the Eastern European countries with the flat tax.

Al-Watan identified one man as Fahd al-Anzi, the nephew of Sawadi's late husband, and the other as his friend and business partner Hadiyan bin Zein. It said they were arrested by the religious police after delivering the bread. The men also were convicted and sentenced to lashes and prison.

The court said it based its ruling on "citizen information"

Drug amnesty bins left empty

Police say a very small quantity of drugs was placed in amnesty bins which were used at a music festival in Perth at the weekend.
The bins were located at the entrance of the Rock-It festival in Joondalup, where people could dispose of drugs without being charged.
Commander Cunningham says only a few people disposed of drugs in the bins.

Seriously? Were the authorities really disappointed that nobody threw away their drugs, drugs they brought specifically with them to get high at the rock concert? And drugs are expensive. People don't just throw them away because they were given the opportunity to. I can see now the astonished, stupefied expressions on the cops' faces when they discovered that drug addicts declined to accept their invitation. How comically asinine!

Really, do these non-violence observances and demonstrations and vigils for whatever cause, do anything? No, it just makes the participants feel like they're doing something to address the problem without actually doing anything to address the problem. Whether it's drugs, gangs, drop-out rates, teen pregnancy, whatever...nobody ever does anything useful. Waukegan police said a clerk at a guns-and-ammunition store appears to have shot a man who was trying to rob the establishment this afternoon.

There they found a man who had been shot twice in the chest and once in the leg, and a shop clerk who had a gun trained on him, the statement said.

How stupid do you have to be to rob a gun store?

Earth worms....Obama's next likely target for taxation
