WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama will break a campaign pledge and sign a budget bill laden with millions in lawmakers' pet projects, administration officials said.
Administration budget chief Peter Orszag and White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel both downplayed the $410 billion spending bill and signaled Obama would hold his nose and sign it. Orszag said: "We want to just move on. Let's get this bill done, get it into law and move forward.
Said Emanuel: "That's last year's business."
A month and a half into his term, and he's already breaking one of his biggest campaign promises, and blaming it on last year's business, meaning Bush. Obama knows that with half of America(the stupid half) still worshipping him, and the mindless, cult-like media solidly on his side, he won't have to do any explaining about lying to us. Obama and the democrats know that he can do literally anything he wants, to grab more power for democrats and waste trillions on huge bills with little or no accountability.
We only have ourselves to blame though, Bush and the feckless republicans passed a similar spending bill and nobody complained except us small-government conservatives.
Obama is deemed by the nauseatingly subservient media to be too messianic to even be questioned about lying to the American people.
