Apparently Kate Middleton collapsed from exhaustion after returning from her whirlwind trip of North America with new husband Prince William. The thought is she's been starving herself to maintain her figure since everybody's looking at her and she collapsed from lack of food and body mass.

Shockingly, it's not her health that the Brits are worried about, it's her ability to conceive. Said one assistant....

“Kate’s got to relax and start eating properly because her next royal duty is to produce a son and heir.”

If I've said it once I've said it a hundred times, you cannot make pets out of carnivorous reptiles. To them you are either a predator to be killed or food to be eaten. A human cannot develop a rapport with a snake. Reptiles belong in the wild or at best, in a zoo where you take your obnoxious brats to gawk and knock on the glass with their sticky fingers to try to disturb them even though the sign clearly says, "Do Not Knock On The Glass". But reptiles do not belong in your home. If something bad happens to you or your family, you have only your own stupid self to blame.

Tyree is missing the point entirely regarding societal anarchy. Rather than gay marriage, he should try looking first at the 70% illegitimacy rate among blacks, their disproportionate share of violent crime commission, gang/thug culture among black youths, the intentional destruction of the black family by liberals from dependency, and the celebration in black culture of drug use, violence, unemployment, and fatherlessness.

Why doesn't Tyree fix the problems in his own "neighborhood" before blaming others for those problems?

South Carolina calls Amazon.com's bluff.....and loses

I thought South Carolina was smarter than this....

From McClatchyDC -- Amazon all but told South Carolina goodbye Wednesday after the online retailer lost a legislative showdown on a sales tax collection exemption it wants to open a distribution center that would bring 1,249 jobs to the Midlands.

Company officials immediately halted plans to equip and staff the one million-square-foot building under construction at I-77 and 12th Street near Cayce.

“As a result of today’s unfortunate House vote, we’ve canceled $52 million in procurement contracts and removed all South Carolina fulfillment center job postings from our (Web) site,” said Paul Misener, Amazon vice president for global public policy.

The story said that a coalition including tea-party activists had succeeding in stopping legislation that allowed corporate tax rates for Amazon. That doesn't make any sense....tea party activists in favor of taxes?

As I understand supply-side economics, which isn't very well, it holds that when you cut tax rates across the board, more people have jobs and pay taxes and have money to spend in the economy. This economic activity and employment counter intuitively increases tax revenues to the feds because the additional income, sales, FICA, etc taxes paid by employed citizens is greater than the corporate taxes given up in tax breaks, less the unemployment compensation and welfare payments to otherwise unemployed citizens.

I'm surprised and disappointed that South Carolina only saw the short-term tax revenues they could extort from Amazon rather than the greater, long-term benefits of 1300 more people employed by giving Amazon a tax break.

If Amazon would like to relocate elsewhere, take a look at Alabama. We've given Mercedes Benz, Kia, and Honda tax breaks to locate here. We'd love to give Amazon the same deal if South Carolina won't.

The only way to get rid of the human filth backing up the sewers and get rid of the awful smell is to flush $14million worth of bleach down the drains over the next 3 years. That's 8.5million pounds of bleach being dumped into the bay every year, and nutty environmentalists are none too happy about it. So their choice is between destroying the wildlife in the SF Bay or living in their own filth.....what's a dumb environmentalist to do?

Stupid republicans swallow Obama's bait hook, line, and sinker

This is a total setup by the administration and reflexive, social republicans have fallen for it. Republicans are going to get distracted by these silly, social-conservative issues like gay marriage and DOMA, when they should be concentrating on cutting the budget and international affairs. Getting bogged down in pointless social issues only lets the democrats, media, and late night comedians poke fun of how hypocritical conservatives are. And they're basically right....who has made a bigger mockery of the institution of marriage than heterosexuals? Which is worse, conservatives who lecture everybody on morals, then cheat on their wives(Newt Gingrich), solicit gay bathroom sex in airports(Larry Craig), or exchange dirty gay texts with interns(Mike Foley) or two gay people who love each other and want to be married?

We should accept that gay marriage is inevitable and get away from the distractions of what I consider to be silly social issues that set us up for ridicule from the Left.

San Fran continues to plumb the depths of nanny-State stupidity

WHAT?

Is San Francisco even part of the US anymore? There is a petition being circulated by a city councilman that if passed by a vote, would ban all circumcisions until the age of 18. I could understand if taxpayer money were being used to pay for the procedure, but I don't think it is. It's entirely elective and some insurance policies pay for it and others do not.

The American cultural issue aside, it is my understanding that circumcision is less painful when performed as an infant and you don't remember it, while adult circumcision is horribly painful, the pain persists for longer, and you remember the trauma of that for the rest of your life.

Where do the deranged loons in San Fran get off telling parents they can circumcise their child? Have they solved every other issue facing that city?

Cronyism evident in Dallas

The absurdly cold weather in Texas has caused over-demand of the power grids there such that authorities are importing 380megawatts of electricity(you need 1.21 gigawatts of electricity for time travel...just sayin') from Mexico to help meet demand. But that's not enough and they've instituted rolling blackouts until demand goes down. Obviously hospitals, public safety departments, etc are exempt and use generators for emergency electricity. But what has residents peeved is that Cowboy Stadium is also exempt. The Superbowl organizers claim with a straight face, that it's a public safety issue to not have the stadium and surrounding hotels be blacked out, even though the game isn't until Sunday.

I'm sure that as Texas residents sit huddled and shivering in the dark, they are comforted knowing that Superbowl tourists, media, and pampered players are toasty and warm in their well-lit rooms.

I become less and less interested in the Superbowl every year and now I'm not only uninterested, I'm a little hostile.

Fair Lawn police said 25-year-old Eric Bortz bought the albino Monocled Cobra, an eastern diamondback rattlesnake and a copperhead snake in Pennsylvania on Monday and thought their venom sacks had been removed.

Sgt. Rich Schultz said the cobra bit Bortz on Monday night after he reached into its container to feed it or otherwise handle it.

After Bortz began to experience severe respiratory problems, he was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Paterson and then to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, N.Y., which has a snakebite treatment center.

Heh heh...what an idiot! I don't get these people who keep exotic, wild animals around the house. They don't function as pets. You can't play with them. They'll attack you given the slightest opportunity because they see you as either a threat or as food. What's the purpose other than to provide jokers like me with a good laugh at your expense?

House majority leader Eric Cantor has reportedly asked his counterpart, house minority leader Nancy Pelosi on a date for tonight's SOTU speech. In a mind-numbingly stupid display of what can only be described as kabuki theater, members of opposite parties are supposed to sit together to help heal the partisan riffs between them. And this is supposed to prevent another crazed madman from shooting anybody, ever again.

Did we award the republicans control of the House only to have them cozying up to the likes of Nancy Pelosi, just for the cameras? It's like some bizarre Sadie Hawkins dance or something. It's just a bunch of meaningless, feel-good BS and who besides the media is falling for it? Good grief, how stupid!

The two biggest stories tonight will be who sat next to whom and whether the supreme court justices show up after Obama kicked sand in their faces last year. I'm not sure I can bring myself to watch it....my stomach isn't strong enough.

UPDATE: Pelosi turned down Cantor's offer. How humiliating! Once again a democrat has owned and abused a gullible republican. Stop already with the pointless gestures. Do the work you were installed by the voters to do and stop trying to be liked by the press. They hate you and they always will. You will never change that.
