“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

London burning

Supposedly the violent riots in London and other UK cities are in outraged response to the killing by police of one dude, who police say shot first. This is as much about that as the looting and violence in New Orleans after Katrina was about poverty and need.

These youths are nothing but opportunistic thugs and criminals....and a stupider group of hooligans I haven't seen since the Rodney King riots in LA. They're destroying their own neighborhoods and looting the stores of their neighbors. What cretins! The cops need to go ahead and start shooting people. That should get their attention.

Hopefully the astonishingly relaxed criminal justice system in the UK might see the light here and start actually punishing people for criminal acts. Their experiment in mollycoddling misbehaving youths has been an abject, utter failure. It's time for the heavy hand of the law to crack some skulls in the motherland.

Black on white crime goes unnoticed by virtually everybody

Can somebody explain the sudden explosion of what is apparently racially motivated black on white mob crimes around the country? This happened at the Wisconsin state fair where "hundreds" of black youths attacked only white people leaving the fair. This is how one witness described it....

From Todaystmj4 -- "I had a black couple on my right side, and these black kids were running in between all the cars, and they were pounding on my doors and trying to open up doors on my car, and they didn't do one thing to this black couple that was in this car next to us. They just kept walking right past their car. They were looking in every body's windshield as they were running by, seeing who was white and who was black."

My question is why don't the media, police, politicians, or race hustlers like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton say that this is black on white crime? It's racism straight up, yet they won't say it because it defeats their politically convenient view that all blacks are righteous victims and all whites are minority-hating devils.

This is a perfect use for the second amendment. I'll be damned if I'll let anybody drag my family out of our car and beat us because we're white. Some body's getting shot.

Who's the hottest murderess in the world?

Is it just me or is Amanda Knox the cutest murderess in the world? She's way hotter than Casey Anthony, who's not even really cute.

I try not to delight in the untimely deaths of other human beings, but I can honestly say that I chuckled at this story...

From WYFF4.com -- COWPENS, S.C. -- Thousands of people in Cherokee County were left without power overnight Monday after a man was killed trying to steal copper from a Duke Energy substation, according to firefighters at the scene.

I don't know about you, but Monday night is must-see TV at our house. If a dude inconveniences everybody by causing massive outages because he failed at being a copper thief, and gets killed in the process.....GOOD!

Did Casey Anthony get away with murder?

About an hour ago, Casey Anthony was found not guilty on the 4 serious counts of murder, man-1, man-2, etc, but guilty of lying to the cops. So basically she got off. This raises a few questions....

-Was there a miscarriage of justice here? Should she have been convicted based on the evidence shown?
-Is the bar for a murder-1 conviction too high in this country? Should it be lowered so that people who we "know" did it like OJ and Casey, get convicted?
-Can we as a nation afford to abandon the "beyond a reasonable doubt" standard without abandoning what makes our legal system the fairest(but not perfect) in the world?

As inept and idiotic as Jose Baez was in presenting his defense, the prosecution just didn't have enough direct evidence to convince a jury to take the life of somebody. Everybody is complaining that "this just shows you can get away with murder in this country". And they're right, but what's the alternative? A system by which numerous innocent people get put to death by the State for crimes they didn't commit?

I'd rather have a system that occasionally lets a guilty person slip through the cracks than one by which innocent people are found guilty....and THAT still happens with regularity.

Media ignores black-on-white crime

From a story over at Occidentaldissent via Moonbattery -- This is Carter Strange of Columbia, South Carolina. He was jogging home one night through the 5-points area when a mob of black guys attacked him and almost killed him. He needed emergency brain surgery to relieve pressure.

Why'd they attack him? For no reason other than he was white and vulnerable. Read about other black-on-white mob attacks in Chicago here, here, in Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Akron. The list goes on and on. Yet the media, especially in Chicago, refuse to report the race of the mobs or of the victims. And nationally, these alarmingly frequent stories are all but ignored entirely. The reality of angry, thug blacks being the victimizers and whites being the innocent victims doesn't fit the media paradigm of racial justice they like to report on. It's the same reason you have to search the news archives to find that 99.99% of terrorism is perpetrated by swarthy, Muslim males, ages 17-28. If whites are the victimizers and any minority is the victim, they'll report it as if the world is coming to an end, but if whites are the victims of minorities, they shrug and look the other way.

This is what 40 years of liberal, social policies that encourage dependence, dereliction, no personal responsibility, and victim group-think have done to black culture. How does that make you feel, democrats?

If you don't have a conceal/carry permit for a powerful handgun, get one and be prepared to protect yourself and your family. Don't end up like Carter Strange.

Fast and Furious likely to be Holder's downfall

With any luck and assuming the media don't provide political cover, Operation Fast and Furious by all rights should spell the end of incompetent racist Eric Holder's career at DOJ.

OF&F was an ATF program by which thousands of assault weapons were allowed to be sold by legitimate gun dealers to known Mexican cartel representatives, then traced as they were inevitably used in crimes in Mexico. Unforeseen was the likelihood that those very guns might be used to kill American border patrol officers on US soil, which is exactly what happened.

It is inconceivable to me that an operation like that would go forward without Eric Holders blessing. He'll deny that he had any knowledge but four border patrol officers have already stated officially that the operation was approved at the highest levels of ATF, which would include the DOJ.

A criminal scandal right under Obama's nose featuring AG Eric Holder would do much harm to Obama's re-election chances, but like with all political scandals, it all depends on how hard the media pursues the story.....and I wouldn't count on the US media to pursue it very stridently as they would if it were the Bush administration.

What a bunch of hosers, ay!

Losers in Canada don't have anything to do except drink and play hockey, and those two often at the same time. Canadian fans of hockey don't have anything to live for except drinking. So it makes sense that when the team on which the self-image of all Canadians rests, loses the Stanley Cup, they riot in the streets and destroy their own neighborhoods. Actually, it makes no sense at all. Canadians are worse than ghetto-dwelling Americans who torch cities whether their team wins or loses, because Canadians aren't living in the ghettos. They don't even have that lame excuse.

From TheVancouverSun" -- VANCOUVER -- Angry Canucks fans are on a rampage, smashing windows, looting and torching cars and dumpsters on the streets of downtown Vancouver.

More than three hours after the Stanley Cup final loss, police are moving up Howe St. toward the crowd massed at the Chapters book store on Howe and Robson.

When your reaction to a team of strangers losing a silly game that nobody watches, is to destroy the neighborhood you live in, perhaps you need to find other interests outside of sports.

Mayhem at Black Bike Week

Who didn't see this coming?

It was Black Bike Week in Myrtle Beach, S.C. over Memorial Day, and a major crime wave there swamped the MBPolice Dept. Coincidence?

There were armed muggings, vandalism, and drug busts, which describe an average Tuesday night at Charlie Sheen's house, but at Myrtle Beach?

Apparently in an attempt to mitigate the damage, some hotels and restaurants actually close because the cost of damage repair is too great. It's cheaper to close for two days. I know what you're thinking, "But Ed, the same thing happens during Spring Break every year and those are white kids."

Sorry, not buying it. Nobody closes their doors during Spring Break. And these aren't kids. These are grown adult men. Plus they aren't the leisure bikers and GoldWing club members. These are crotch-rocket riders who think they're in a Fast-Furious movie. I would expect a Hell's Angels convention to be just as bad. It's not a black thing, it's a violent biker thing.

Our image abroad

Seriously, the authorities need to get a grip on this sort of thing in the US.....

From Telegraph -- James Cooper, 25, and James Kouzaris, 24, were in Florida when they were killed at 3am in a gangland area rarely visited by tourists.

They apparently accepted a lift from someone they met in a bar, thinking they were being driven home

To people in other countries who're thinking of visiting the US as tourists, we look like a third-world waste-land of lawlessness and violence. It's probably safer to visit Beirut than south Florida. Good grief!

If this was as suspected, a gang initiation, was it simple murder, or was it to murder white people? If so, will Eric Holder get involved because this crime fits the definition of a hate-crime? Don't hold your breath on that one.

Excessive police force, or just about right?

National news outlets including Fox, are teasing this story with feigned outrage at police for spraying an 8 year old Colorado boy with pepper spray. If you are outraged too, read the story and then see if the cops were justified......

From 9News.com -- According to the report, Aidan "was climbing the cart and spitting at teachers. He also broke wood trim off the walls and was trying to stab teachers with it."

"I wanted to make something sharp if they came out because I was so mad at them," Aidan said. "I was going to try to whack them with it."

The report goes on to say Aidan, "was holding what looked like a sharpened one foot stick and he screamed, 'Get away from me you f---ers.'"

Lakewood Police officers ordered the 8-year-old to "drop the stick." When he refused, they sprayed him with pepper spray twice until he dropped the piece of wood and was handcuffed.

That kid is a serious psychopath who needs to be drugged, institutionalized, and forgotten. He and his idiot mother are lucky all he got was pepper-sprayed. They ought to throw the mother in the klink for teaching the kid how to properly use the F-word.

This is not the same angry boy, just a helpful picture of what an angry 8 year old might look like.

The unreasonable creep of the police state

In Australia, two men were arrested after cops observed them "behaving suspiciously", searched their suitcases, and seized the $2.5million they were carrying.

I'll bet the US police have the same "suspicious behavior" standard that the Aussies have.
Questions if this happened in the US: Why is it illegal to carry around a lot of money? What constitutes "suspicious behavior" to the point that it justifies a personal search? What evidence do the cops have that the money is illegal? Don't the cops have to show reasonable cause before they confiscate for themselves, money belonging to other people?

This is the problem that I have with the $10,000 banking transaction law. If you deposit, withdraw, or otherwise make a transaction of 10K or more, there is automatically a red flag with the IRS goons as well as law enforcement that allows them to investigate you for the possibility of you being a drug dealer. You don't have to have done anything wrong. Merely the handling or possession of a lot of cash constitutes reasonable cause in the US now. I think that's wrong.

An eye for an eye

I don't blame this guy....

From FoxNews -- The father of a 5-year-old boy killed in 1975 is vowing to murder his son's killer if he is released, as scheduled, several years early from a 40-year sentence.

John Foreman said in an interview Monday with WPRO-AM radio that he will kill convicted murderer Michael Woodmansee "as aggressively and as painfully" as he killed his son if Woodmansee is released from prison early.

I would have precisely the same intent as this father, but I wouldn't announce it to anybody beforehand. This way if anything ever happens to the perp, the father will get blamed. The satisfaction of killing the man who murdered your son is between you and him. You want him to know why you are killing him as you twist the knife in his guts, but everybody else doesn't need to know. How does the murderer of a child get only 40 years and then get a reduced sentence for good behavior anyway?

This dad needs to recon the perp's schedule, establish an elaborate alibi, kill the guy in private, then return to his life. I doubt the cops would look very hard for his killer anyway. Either way, I'd do the same thing. If it comes to it, I wish him good luck and good hunting.

Killing teenagers that Americans won't kill

Remember George Bush telling us how illegals are just doing jobs Americans won't do? Well there are some other things that Americans won't do that illegals are happy to help us out with. Killing teen girls during botched carjackings is one of them......

From FoxNews -- Three Mexican men who were wanted for the murder of an American teenager have turned themselves in at an Arizona border crossing point, Reuters reports.

U.S. officers tell Reuters that Orel Vasquez, 20, Christian Vasquez, 26, and Juan Leon, 29, turned themselves in Saturday for the 2009 murder of 15-year-old Brenda Arenas of Tucson.

Arenas was shot in the head during a botched carjacking and died in her mother's arms.

Or as Jerry Rivers(Geraldo Rivera) would lecture us, this is a crime problem, not an illegal problem. But I would argue that, but for these aliens having snuck across our border illegally, this girl would still be alive. It is an illegal alien problem and it's not going away until we take seriously border security....something that neither party seems eager to do, to their shame.

Obama and Bush should have to personally explain to the families of every American killed by an illegal why that death is acceptable and why they did nothing, NOTHING to stop them from coming in.

Sharon Tate would have been 68 today...RIP

Actress and model Sharon Tate would have turned 68 today. She and her unborn child were murdered along with 8 others during a two day killing spree in California directed by Charles Manson. To this day, I can't think of a more horrific, personal mass murder than the LoBianca/Tate murders. Obviously 9/11 cost more lives but this was 1969, America was no more prepared for this at that time, than we were for 9/11 when it happened. Manson was trying to ignite a race war with the murders and failed, but he did rob a nation of a little bit of innocence and trust. It'll be a good day when the devil finally comes to drag Manson off to hell at long last.

South Koreans kick some pirate butt

When it comes to Somali pirates, the South Koreans are kicking ass and taking names....

From FoxNews -- South Korean special forces stormed a hijacked freighter in the Arabian Sea on Friday, rescuing all 21 crew members and killing eight assailants in a rare and bold raid on Somali pirates, South Korea said.

Excellent! All crew safe and all pirates either dead or captured. That's how you deal with maritime pirates. Good for the South Koreans. If all countries dealt with these pirates this way, Somalia would quickly run out of pirates.

The Swiss get exposed

I can't imagine this is going to make the famously private Swiss banking community happy....

From DailyMail -- WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has threatened to reveal confidential offshore bank accounts of hundreds of the rich and famous.
A former Swiss banker handed the whistle-blower two CDs reputedly containing details of up to 2,000 wealthy individuals and corporations, including 40 politicians and various celebrities.
The ‘high net worth’ individuals are from Britain, America, Germany, Austria, Asia and ‘all over’, according to Rudolf Elmer, who said he wants to expose mass tax evasion.

If there's anything the Swiss base their entire country on, it's privacy. Information like this getting out to the media will send a chill across the banking industry in that country and other banking havens such as Grand Cayman will stand to benefit greatly. It wouldn't surprise me if this guy Elmer were to mysteriously disappear at some point, just to send a message to any other snitches in positions of Swiss banking access.

Peace Corps....not so peaceful

This is disturbing....

From FoxNews -- More than 1,000 young American women have been raped or sexually assaulted in the last decade while serving as Peace Corps volunteers in foreign countries, an ABC News 20/20 investigation has found.

In some cases, victims say, the Peace Corps has ignored safety concerns and later tried to blame the women who were raped for bringing on the attacks.

The heads of organizations like this are usually the recipients of political favors for campaign donations and such. They have no real desire to operate or manage these foreign service organizations, nor do they care about the day to day goings-on in remote, third-world countries, and the chronic gang-rape of American women isn't considered polite conversation at DC cocktail parties.

If this number is true, 1000 American girls raped, then no amount of good charity work can outweigh the cost to these women of that. Isn't it about time for these miserably inept countries to mooch off somebody else for a few generations? I mean we're running out of women to supply for them.

I've never really got the whole Peace Corps thing. Do you learn a skill that'll help you get a job back home? I mean, helping people is a noble thing but at the cost of likely rape? I wonder if Obama will use this as an opportunity to push for his program of 2 years of mandatory youth volunteer service he's been talking about?

1000 girls raped! How has this gone unnoticed?

Et tu, Rep. King, et tu?

Whenever there's a tragedy involving a gun, predictable liberals rush to propose gun-control legislation, as if regulating law-abiding citizens would have stopped the Tucson shooting. What you don't expect is for a republican to have such a stupid knee-jerk response.....

From Hotair -- Rep. Peter King, a Republican from New York, will introduce legislation that will make it a federal crime to carry a firearm within 1,000 feet of federal officeholders and judges

Forget for a minute the unenforcability of such a stupid law. Are the police going to detain and search everybody within 1000 feet of any elected official making an appearance?
-Does that mean when Peter King walks down the street, anybody lawfully carrying a gun will be in violation of the law as he gets within 1000 feet?
-There are thousands of federal officials, how can any citizen know where they are at all times to make sure we don't violate the law?
-And is the 2nd amendment and the right if an individual to safeguard his own body superseded by the desire of federal officials to "feel" safe? I think not.

We all know this is unconstitutional but just for a minute, let's pretend it is a reasonable limitation on the legal carrying of a firearm. Would this have done any good in the Tucson shooting case? No. Furthermore, as an elected official, I would have wanted, as Gabby Giffords wanted, somebody with a firearm of his own, to shoot and kill this nut before he kills everybody.

It's the same argument we always have whenever somebody attempts to further restrict the lawful possession of a firearm....in every single case of a mass shooting, the survivors and relatives of the dead would give anything for somebody with a gun to have stopped the killing. If you restrict lawful people from carrying guns, only the nut jobs will have the guns. Then we're all defenseless. Peter King should know better.

UPDATE: Speaker Boehner quickly put the kibosh on this stupid idea. More gun regulation isn't the answer.
