“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Who cares?

Mexico is desperate to keep their poverty flowing north and our dollars flowing south...

PARIS -- Mexico's foreign secretary said Monday the country may take a dispute over U.S. plans to build a fence on the Mexican border to the United Nations.

Luis Ernesto Derbez told reporters in Paris, his first stop on a European tour, that a legal investigation was under way to determine whether Mexico has a case.

Our government's first and only priority is to defend the country from threats both foreign and domestic, and if 10million unassimilated, indigents flowing across our border doesn't constitute an invasion, I don't know what does. We should not care one bit what the U.N. thinks. They hate us anyway. We should build the fence along the entire southern border and then negotiate with Mexico about some idiotic worker program from a position strength.

The U.N. --- gimme a break!

I will fall into the minority on this, but here goes. This country is teetering on the brink of a collapse. The constant stream of illegals is apart of the issue. Unless we do something to legitimize the borders immediately we will be bankrupt in the near future. Every year insurance costs escalate, included in this escalation is a factor for the uninsured medical costs included by providers. Slowing and stopping the illegals, will give a much needed respite to the medical/insurance communities and therefore will let us kep more money in our pockets.
I believe that we need to build this fence, top it with barbed wire, dig a 20' wide moat behind it, then build an 18' wall of smooth cement. Then let those people try to get in. We are at war with our southern neighbors to attempt to keep our lifestyles and way of life. How much does it cost to print instructions in mutiple languages? Change road signs? Altering the way live is already costing us money. Stop this downward spiral immediately. I am not prejudiced toward ant peoples in general, but I am prejudiced toward keeping America an English speaking country, with an improving (no digressing) way of life. I feel that I work harder now, I make a better salary, but don't seem to be able to get the extra things I want, partially because I daily lose income through taxation to support these indigent people.
I will welcome to my country all who want to better themselves, and will also attempt to help better this country. We do not need any more gangs, rap artists, or slums - we have our share. If one cannot make this a better place then maybe after erecting this fence we need to look carefully at our immigration policies as well.
Thanks for my turn on the soap box. I welcome all critiques and criticisms of my position.
