When it comes to global warming, hamburgers are the Hummers of food, scientists say.
Simply switching from steak to salad could cut as much carbon as leaving the car at home a couple days a week.
That's because beef is such an incredibly inefficient food to produce and cows release so much harmful methane into the atmosphere, said Nathan Pelletier of Dalhousie University in Canada.

There's a growing number of scientists studying global warming only because there's a growing number of dollars being spent to coax scientists to say global warming is real. If you received a million dollars from Al Gore to study global warming, are you going to come back with data showing no link between man's activities and earth temperature? No, you're going to make the statistics say whatever you know Al Gore wants them to say, because it'll keep your funding stream alive.
When are these idiots going to admit...THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS GLOBAL WARMING!...?
Now that's a hamburger! It's carbon footprint might be as big as one of Al Gore's 30,000sq-ft mansions, or his house boat, or his private jet, or his ego.
