“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Operation Chaos in full swing
The main-stream medie won't acknowledge it but Rush Limaugh's cleverly conceived and masterfully implemented Operation Chaos worked perfectly in Pennsylvania yesterday. For the uninitiated, Operation Chaos, for which Rush is the Supreme Allied Commander, is the act of republican voters registering as democrats and then voting for Hillary in their state's primary. The republican nominee has already been chosen so they mine as well cause some trouble with the democrats, right? But for Operation Chaos, Obama would surely have already locked up the nomination. In Pennsylvania yesterday, 10% of otherwise republican voters crossed over to vote for Hillary handing her a decisive 55%-45% victory.
The idea is to keep the chaos and infighting between Barack and Hillary going as long as possible, and hopefully we can sit back in August and thoroughly enjoy the fireworks at the dem convention in Denver. We conservatives don't care which reprehensible democrat gets the nomination, we just want them to keep slugging each other and spending money while McCain keeps a low profile and the money keeps rolling in.
Congratulations Rush! Another successful campaign battle won. Now on to Indiana.

How do we know if they crossed over to cause chaos or if GWB sent them running and screaming from the Republican party?
Good point freedom. If there were a vialble libertarian candidate, I'd have run screaming from the GOP too because of W's big-government brand of conservatism.
You obviously don't track polling data. Obama cut into Clinton's 20+ point lead up to the 'bitter' comment...then blew out a little...then picked it back up. He was always going to lose by 8-10, undemocratic electioneering aside. Real Republicans would be ashamed of this kind of strategy. it's more akin to Robert Mugabe-style politics than to a free deomcratic republic.
Does Operation Chaos have a strategy? There is no doubt Rush is achieving some tactical successes out there. If he weren’t, we would not be reading, hearing and talking about Operation Chaos as much as we are. But what is the Strategy? Is the Republican Party—Win or Lose in November, going to be better off because of Operation Chaos? This is a serious question!
Operation Chaos is just a way of entertaining ourselves until November. Watching the party of race politics get hamstrung by the race issue is priceless. Watching the hypocrisy of the Left get exposed with the gender, race, popular vote issues is all kinds of satisfying.
And no, it's not about the republican party no matter what. But even the RINO McCain is better than either democrat schlubb.
And anon, until Rush kills somebody, comparisons to Mugabe fall a little flat.
Wouldn't it be ironic if Hillary Clinton wins the election thanks to Operation Chaos?
bob, I don't think that would happen because Americans are sick of the Clintons and Obama supporters will likely vote for McCain or not vote at all.
