When you keep wild carnivores as pets and then let inexperienced people handle them, bad things tend to happen. Such is the case in California when a young woman entered a lion cage during feeding time.....
From ABCnews -- The victim was identified as 24-year-old Dianna Hanson, who was two months into her internship program at the Cat Haven in Dunlap, a small town in Fresno County near King's Canyon National Park.
Ok, African lions don't much care what you bring them to eat. It could be a dead chicken, a bowl of Alpo, or yourself....they can't much tell the difference.
Why the lion was shot is a mystery. It was just doing what lions do, they kill. This girl had almost no experience with these cats and she was practically unknown to them. Why did she have keys to their cages? Her own hubris and stupidity killed her.
