“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

The Breck Girl creeped out Lurch

Ambulance chasing, slip-and-fall attorney, environmental hypocrite, phony champion of the poor, unapologetic white-flag surrender liberal. Each of these dangerous character flaws is reason enough not to vote for the Breck Girl for president, but just in case you remain unconvinced of his abject repulsiveness, this ought to do it...

Bob Shrum, famous, and popular in conservative circles for managing eight consecutive losing democrat campaigns, has a new book out entitled "No Excuses: Confessions of a Serial Campaigner," Mr. Shrum's book "repeatedly portrays Edwards as a hyper-ambitious phony,".
For example, Mr. Shrum says Mr. Kerry had qualms about choosing Mr. Edwards to be his presidential running mate in 2004, but grew "even queasier" after Mr. Edwards said he was going to share a story with Mr. Kerry he had never told anyone else — that after his son, Wade, had been killed, he climbed onto the slab at the funeral home and hugged his body and promised that he would do all he could to make life better for people. Kerry was stunned, not moved, because, as he told me later, Edwards had recounted the exact story to him, almost in the exact same words, a year or two before — and with the same preface, that he'd never shared the memory with anyone else. Kerry said he found it chilling[…]

Pretending to channel the souls of dead babies in court in order to convince stupid jurors to give you money other people earned is about as low and depraved as you can get, but now we find out he politicizes the memory of his dead son by running around telling anyone who is of political benefit to him this gruesome, creepy story. And he's lied to so many people about never telling it that he can't remember who he lied to.

When you are so disturbingly ghoulish that you creep out the likes of Lurch, disturbing in his own right, you have serious personal problems and are wholly unqualified for county dog-catcher, much less president.

Hat tip National Review.
