“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

CNN hired another moron

Idiot talking head over at CNN, Fareed Zakaria lectures the unsophisticated masses in America about how unfair and archaic our Constitution is by pointing out the imbalance in the Senate where Wisconsin gets the same representation as California even though their populations are vastly different....

From TheDailyCaller -- The structure of the Senate is even more undemocratic, with Wisconsin’s six million inhabitants getting the same representation in the Senate as California’s 36 million people. That’s not exactly one man, one vote.

No wonder CNN hired him. He is utterly clueless. The House of Representatives represents the interests of the people according to their relative population numbers in their state districts. The Senate was designated to represent the interests of each state as a whole, thus equal representation of two senators per state, regardless of population. Otherwise California would dominate every electoral process and bill....how is that fair Fareeeeeed?

Another reason we should thank God the Founding Fathers came from the Age of Enlightenment with classical educations instead of the "Age of whatever sounds good and popular."

Yes, the Constitution for the most part, is transcendent of era. Its framework is nearly perfect in terms of limiting government, recongnizing the individual, while still allowing for changes, but through a necessarily tortured and slow process. I shudder at the thought of what Americans would suggest via Twitter, FB, and e-mail if allowed to rewrite the Constitution as in the example offered by Mr. Zakaria where Iceland is doing just that.
