“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”
Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

This is Mitt Romney signing the awful Mass. health-care bill into law, to the delight of none other than Ted Kennedy.
Romney is in New Hampshire this week bragging about his ability to find common ground with democrats, like he did with Romneycare in MA., but is that a feature of his candidacy or a detraction? "Finding common ground with democrats" is code for caving in to them because they never give in to republicans. This obsession with bipartisanship is precisely why I can't get excited about a Romney presidency. And as Michelle Malkin points out, any Americans who want a president who can get along and compromise with democrats will vote for Obama. Romney might be the only GOP candidate who cannot beat Obama.
