Last night on O'Reilly, Dick Morris stated that at some point Obama has got to look in the mirror and realize that his policies have failed, and change his ways in order to get re-elected. He seems to think Obama is cut from the same corrupt cloth from which all politicians are cut and pragmatism will cause him to re-evaluate his performance as President as it did Clinton's before him. I don't think that's the case.
Unemployment is around 9%, his profligate spending sent the US beyond the magical debt limit, the dollar continues to free-fall, gas prices are skyrocketing yet he does nothing, the government continues to expand unabated, regulatory agencies torment Americans with stifling rules like never before, and the private sector shrinks under the weight of punitive taxation. We are truly a foodstamp nation and more enrole on government assistance every day. Morris thinks Obama must see these as negatives, but I think Obama looks in the mirror and smiles devilishly, knowing that he has performed marvelously according to his grand plan for America.
Obama looks in the mirror and says,
"America is receiving her just punishments for past, colonial sins and for using the poor and downtrodden (dark) countries upon which she's become rich. I have taken America down quite a few notches but not nearly enough. The government has become vast and controlling under my direction, the poor are getting their just due while the greedy private sector has seen it's wealth diminished to the point that soon, they'll just give up. Luckily for me, the useful idiots in the media are fully on my side and will parrot literally anything I tell them. Now, how to get re-elected so I can continue my dismantling of the evil, capitalist State. I know, I'll just direct the guilty white media to call any one who criticizes or questions my methods, racists. That always shuts down dissent. I got elected solely because of my skin color. Why not get re-elected because criticism of me is criticism of my race?"

All very true Ed. I shudder to think what a re-elected Obama would be doing in December 2012 and January 2013 with nothing to hold him back.
Right now I think Obama WILL get re-elected and this will be DIRE for the U.S.
Not going to happen.
