Fearing pirates off the coast of Africa, the British have employed armed guards to protect their oil tankers......FAIL!!!!NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - Somali pirates hijacked a chemical tanker with dozens of Indian crew members Friday and a helicopter rescued three British security guards who had jumped into the sea, officials said.
I was under the impression that armed guards were there to prevent pirates from seizing the tanker, but maybe that's just me.
Man, how far the once great British Empire has fallen. In just two hundred years, from ruling the seas with colonies on every continent, to running away from a rag-tag band of opium-addicted bandits....pitiful!
