“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

It's Ann Coulter Thursday!

This week, in one of her funniest and witty columns, Ann recaps the election. Dead-on accurate as always, she pins the blame squarely on any republican, naming McCain first, who departed from Reagan conservatism(thus the picture I chose). Here are my two favorite paragraphs...

This was such an enormous Democratic year that even John Murtha won his congressional seat in Pennsylvania after calling his constituents racists. It turns out they're not racists -- they're retards. Question: What exactly would one have to say to alienate Pennsylvanians? That Joe Paterno should retire?

And then there's this one summing it all up....

Indeed, the only good thing about McCain is that he gave us a genuine conservative, Sarah Palin. He's like one of those insects that lives just long enough to reproduce so that the species can survive. That's why a lot of us are referring to Sarah as "The One" these days.

Yep, classic Ann. Head on over to HumanEvents and check it out.

Murtha likes to put his name on buildings - that's why he secures money "for us". His wife even has her name on one.
Modest, eh?

I think I'd rather be labeled a racist redneck than the idiot who voted for Murtha in 08.

Glad to hear it Tracie. That's your neck of the woods, but I know you are neither a racist or a retard. I guess bringing home the bacon buys a lot of looking-the-other-way from voters come election time.

It is an excellent article. I like this paragraph...
For now, we have a new president-elect. In the spirit of reaching across the aisle, we owe it to the Democrats to show their president the exact same kind of respect and loyalty that they have shown our recent Republican president.
