Another mass shooting, this time at a FedEx shop outside of Atlanta. What's the common thread with all but one mass shooting in the US in the last 30 years?
Answer: this one, as all the rest, took place in a posted gun-free zone.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

This day in history, politicians lost an American war
April 30, 1975....the day the last marine was evacuated from the rooftop of the American embassy in what was called Saigon, VN., now Ho Chi Minh City. They had to leave by rooftop because the communist north Vietnamese tanks were rolling into the city and our escape route was closed.
Because of political cowardice and incompetence in Washington, 57,000 Americans lost their lives over there, and for what? Similar idiocy rules in DC today as we flounder in Iraq and Afghanistan. When career-minded Pentagon bureaucrats dictate the rules of engagement from a distance and tactical military decisions are approved by feckless politicians over cocktails in some bar in Georgetown, you can do lots of things on the battlefield, but win a war isn't one of them.
Kim Jong Un is a ladies man
Given the utter misery and hellish existence of the people of North Korea, I hesitate to use "comical" to describe it's deranged, murderous dictator Kim Jong Un, but have a look at these official state images of Dear Leader, the purpose of which was to portray him as a devilish ladies man. Hilarious!
Like their phony caterwauling at his father Kim Jong Il's funeral, these women clearly understand their role here, swoon over the boy dictator or be fed alive to a pack of ravenous dogs.
P.S. is just me or are the women in the first pic clones? Seriously, they look identical.

Obama backs down from UN confrontation with Iran
Dingbat US ambassador to the UN, Samantha Powers, viciously objected to the preposterous inclusion of Iran on the UN's women's rights commission.....in a tweet, after the fact. She didn't bother to show up for the vote and actually object on the floor of the UN, however. Why not?
Apparently there were precisely the same number of nominees as there were vacant seats on the council so the installation of those countries into those seats took exactly 103 seconds because nobody objected. Clearly the whole thing was a kabuki charade with the outcome predetermined weeks or months ago.
Still, why wouldn't the Obama administration (and make no mistake it wasn't Powers' oversight or mistake....she was told by the administration not to be present) not want to be on record as objecting to Iran being on the commission? Perhaps because Obama is tired of other nations making him look like the adolescent, rank amateur he really is, on the world stage? I don't think he wants to go up against anybody now because he knows he commands no respect around the world and all other world leaders are either rolling their eyes or laughing at him, or both.
White guilt gets a lot of things done
From a tip from regular reader David.
So the Minneapolis city council voted to change the observance that used to be Columbus Day to Indigenous People's Day. Berkeley, CA, South Dakota, and even here in Alabama, we observe both on the same day.
There is a lot of lingering white guilt about fair skinned Europeans settling the western hemisphere. There's also a lot of criticism of Columbus, an Italian from Genoa, receiving credit for "discovering" America, when Native Americans already lived here. I have several points to make about this:
First, the viking Leif Erikson "discovered" what would be named Canada 500 years before Columbus came to what would be called "the Americas"....AY! So what? He was a horrible settler and never reported back to anybody in a modern part of Europe what he had found and then abandoned.
Second, Columbus didn't set out to discover the United States and infect whatever natives he found with syphilis, as many liberal PC teachers and detractors like to accuse him of. Based on his Ptolemaic maps of the known world, he calculated that there should be land somewhere west of Europe, he just didn't know how big the ocean was or what specific direction he should sail before he found it. He landed in what would be called the Bahamas and the collection of Caribbean islands that would be called the West Indies, named because he thought he was landing on the eastern coast of India/Asia.
Third and most importantly, the entire known history of human existence on Earth has a single unifying thread; expansion into, and colonization of, foreign lands. By sending explorers west, the Europeans were simply doing what man has always done when population size, economic incentive, and the human genetic yearning for exploration demanded it, expand. That the natives were displaced as a result is not an enjoyable part of our history, but I imagine tribes who were slaughtered by stronger, larger, rival tribes, all over what would be north America, during the hundreds of years prior to Columbus' arrival, weren't too happy about that either. War and conquest are how developing civilizations interact most of the time. It's an ugly part of human nature, but it's our nature nonetheless.
Fourth, our elementary school teachers like to paint a picture of peaceful Indians, sharing harvest bounty with each other, communing with nature, and getting high smoking peyote, but they fought and killed each other just as men of different "tribes" have done throughout world history....and continue to do. Good grief, Mayan and Aztec cultures had no historical rival when it came to human brutality and killing by the thousands.
Finally, Columbus Day is simply a recognition of our European ancestors expanding into the Americas, for which we are all thankful. That they discovered here, primitive natives, tribes of virtual cavemen, who hadn't even invented the wheel yet and killed their food by chasing it around with a sharp stick, is how civilizations are historically modernized whether they like it or not. (Today, only the rain-forest head-shrinkers of Borneo and Muslims have failed to modernize.) The guilty American taxpayers are reminded regularly of our past colonial sins, most recently by our current President, and money is taken from us to pay for the destitute, miserable lives of current Native Americans on reservations, among others.
We should abandon the Native American welfare programs which only foster dependence, sloth, and misery, just like in any welfare ghetto. They're plenty smart enough to make it on their own, but they may have to abandon the old cultural ways for the new world......just as the syphilitic pilgrims did. ;-)

Kathleen Sebelious will suckle at the government teat for life
Did you know that federal government employees get automatic $10,000/year pensions for life, after only 5 years of sucking at the government teat? That explains why Kathleen Sebelious is still hanging around DC. Next week marks her 5th year on the job.
Name one private sector employer who doles out 10k/year pensions for life to an employee who spearheaded one of the biggest screw ups in US history? She should have been run out of town, tied backwards and naked on a mule.
Ask not at whom Obama and Sebelious point and laugh, for they point and laugh at you, the American taxpayer for allowing them to railroad you.

Newsweek must have an androgyny agenda to push
Newsweek just named Lupita Nyong'o as the most beautiful woman in the world. Really? She forgot to put on her wig, no?
I don't have a gripe about gender ambiguity if that's your thing, but "most beautiful in all the world"?
Prettier than saucy Aussie Abbie Cornish? Please!

Chicago schools go full Afrocentric with their curriculum
As if Chicago weren't a pit of social hopelessness and chaos already, the city school system is adopting an "Afrocentric" curriculum from 5K through 10th grade, to prop up the self-esteem of students with politically favorable skin color and create politically-useful grievances toward their white classmates and white society in general. Instead of offering a class in African-American history, they're tainting EVERY class and subject with racial themes. Trouble is, they're finding it difficult to infuse race into a math curriculum.....3x4=12....where's the racial component of that?
Not so fast, I think I found one. How about this as a real-world math problem that Chicago students might understand:
[Tyrone is a drug dealer. He's doing a 5-year gig in Joliet Correctional for beating the crap out of his common-law wife, Bernice. But Bernice needs rent money so she's selling all Tyrone's stuff. If Bernice needs $1,200 for rent and Tyrone's stereo and guns are only worth $300, how many 8-balls of meth @ $300 each, does she have to sell to make up the difference?]
Isn't common core partially about making the academic content relate to the lives of the students? So you see, I'm part of the solution. You're welcome. ;-)
Obama warns Putin: "I won't draw my saber, but I'm going to rattle it a lot for show."
So Obama is sending 600 US troops into four countries thought to be nervous about Putin's intentions: Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia. That's 150 troops doing rotational deployments in each country for the foreseeable future, to do what exactly? Ostensibly they're there to conduct combat exercises, but the real reason is to intimidate Putin into softening his aggression toward the Ukraine.
Putin knows this and doesn't care. The war-horses have already left the Obama barn, there's no intimidating our enemies now. They know we don't have the resolve, much less the desire, to fight them. Does anybody think Putin will be scared of the mighty US military with Obama in charge of it? Who left on Earth is intimidated by the kinder, gentler US military?

A little pee never hurt anybody
Regular reader Dave sent this story in.....and you all know how I like a good pee story.
Up in Portland, Or, some kid peed in their reservoir and this freaked out the retarded water authority manager, now he's draining the entire 38million gallon reservoir.....for like the 3rd time because of some imagined contamination involving pee.
Let me break it down for you: first of all, urine is sterile. It won't hurt you. Even if you are irrationally afraid of a little urea, the ppm of a bladder-full in 38M gallons breaks down to the nanoMolar scale(the most toxic, poisonous substance known(Keith Richard's blood) won't hurt you at that concentration).
It's an open air reservoir, dead animals, bird poo, and who knows what else are rotting in that water 24/7. It gets filtered before it goes to your tap.
This guy probably ducks his head in the YMCA pool during "adult swim" every summer Saturday.....think how much pee he's actually drinking then? Who in his right mind is that grossed out by a little pee in the town reservoir?
Powdered alcohol? Is this for real or are we being punked?
This might be the dumbest idea ever. Powdered alcohol. Apparently they can separate the water from the alcohol molecules and absorb the alcohol onto some carbohydrate polymer, then reconstitute the powder with water to make an adult beverage.
Imagine how many stupid teenagers will kill themselves each year by snorting it, dissolving it in water at a concentrated level then injecting it, lacing food, spiking power drinks then OD'ing. The abuse potential far outweighs the benefits.....if there are any benefits.
Compare powdered alcohol to other drugs in powdered form, cocaine, heroin, etc., look at how idiots kill themselves with it, then decide if this is something that should be legalized.
On the other hand, as a libertarian, I think decriminalization of most drugs would be a good thing as far as getting the tyrannical government out of the private lives of the citizenry. And alcohol is already legal, so why not have a handful of new ways to kill ourselves with it?

Avery Molek defines second-grade cool
If there's ever been a cooler second grader than this kid, I haven't heard about him.
Getting shot doesn't earn you a namesake USS Navy combat ship
Would you want to be a sailor on the USS Gabrielle "Gabby" Giffords? Construction has begun in Mobile, Al. on the tri-hulled, littoral combat ship that will bear the former-congresscritter's name.
Look, we generally name USS Navy ships for Presidents, distinguished historical servicemen, or very long-term, ex-military politicians, not for 3-term back-benchers who've done little that is noteworthy but get shot by a lunatic and then get used by her unemployed husband and current President as an anti-gun prop at paid speaking and political engagements.
If they want to name something after Giffords, why not the Gabby Giffords M.A.S.H. unit for gun-shot trauma? Wouldn't that be more appropriate?
Or am I being too harsh and uncaring?
Bonobo's, smarter than we thought
I'm generally against forcing animals, using punishment, to learn to perform stupid tricks for our amusement, but I think this complex set of executions demonstrates a heretofore unrecognized level of primate intelligence.
I realize this sort of thing is illegal, unethical, immoral and violates every self-imposed code we humans have for our conduct toward other living things, BUT, wouldn't it be cool if we could engineer at conception a human Broca's Area(speech center) in the Bonobo brain along with the concomitant vocal chord genes necessary for speech? The FOXP2 gene is really the only genetic difference in brain speech development between Bonobo's and humans. Then we could really asses the intelligence of these creatures.
The fact that it can be done means that somebody somewhere WILL do it, and I for one, can't wait to see the results.

Absurd sentence turns one tragedy into two
This is 16 yo Kristan Davis, of St. Claire County, Alabama. She died in 2012 when she was thrown in a crash, from the back seat of a car driven by a drunk 17 year old boy.
Tragic? Yes. Avoidable? Absolutely.
The man who bought the 17 yo driver the alcohol just got sentenced to the maximum 3 years in prison. All he did was buy some beer for the kid.
The DA in the case lectured, "This should be an example that providing alcohol to school aged kids can be deadly."
Well no shit Sherlock! But how about listing all the horrible life decisions that were made by Kristan herself, each one of which, if made differently, could have saved her life.
First, she hung out with a kid who begged strange adults to buy him booze. Who but a loser does that?
Second, she willfully crawled into the back seat of a car driven by a 17 yo who was drinking.
And critically, Third, she didn't wear a seatbelt. (Both front seat passengers had their belts on and walked away essentially unharmed)
The 17 yo driver enjoyed youthful offender status so his punishment was a slap on the wrist. Sure punish the guy who bought the beer, that is against the law, but 3 years in jail? That's ridiculous!
Silky Pony's back in the courtroom
John Edwards and his former law partner started another personal injury firm, EdwardsKirby, and their first big case is attempting to bilk a hospital out of millions by suing an ER doctor alleging that he didn't do enough to make sure a 4 year old patient got enough oxygen. The boy is brain damaged and of course the parents are blaming the deepest pockets around on the advice of charlatan Edwards.
Edwards is a degenerate, piece of shit trial attorney who made his millions falsely blaming a long line of North Carolina obstetricians for not performing C-sections fast enough. He even once pretended to channel the soul of an infant in open court to convince a jury of 12 morons that the family deserved millions in damages, of which he happily helped himself to a third.
If I could make only one reform in the US, as much as I'd like to reform the tax code, reforming tort adjudication might be first on the list. I hate that ass-holes like John Edwards can play on the sympathies of 12 people too stupid to know better and extract millions in phony damages, to pay for their lavish life styles.

Ukrainian Jews in trouble
Good grief, Jews living in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk were told by authorities who're trying to turn the city over to Russia, to register with the government.
From FoxNews -- "Jews emerging from a synagogue say they were handed leaflets that ordered the city's Jews to provide a list of property they own and pay a registration fee "or else have their citizenship revoked, face deportation and see their assets confiscated,"
It is not clear if any other religious minorities are being harassed this way, but the last time expatriated Jews were told to register with the government, we all remember what happened.

Workers are worth precisely what the labor market says they're worth, not a penny more
A friend of mine was complaining about how much more undeserving CEO's, entertainers, and pro athletes make compared to the working stiffs at the bottom and how that income disparity is what's wrong with America. Here was my response:
Seriously? Working class jobs taken individually aren't worth much to a company because anybody can do them. CEO jobs are worth 100s of times more because very few people can do them well.
LeBron James, Jay Z, and Jen Aniston make tens of millions a year for two reasons, because millions of people want to watch them do what they do and because only a few people, if any, can do the same thing. The CEO's of Wal Mart, Amazon, and GE make tens of millions a year because the stockholders of those companies know that not everybody is capable of shepherding $Billion companies into profitability and if the guy at the top makes decisions that make their stock rise, then he deserves a fat reward.
The guy who bolts bumpers onto F-150's makes a 1,000th of what the CEO of Ford makes for the same two reasons, nobody wants to pay to watch him bolt bumpers on F-150's and there are literally millions of people who can do that same job tomorrow if he decides to quit because he feels underpaid.
Unless you don't believe in the laws of supply, demand, and price in the free labor market, and prefer that some governing body impose income equability onto private companies, then to make more money, become more valuable to your employer.
Who are we to tell somebody else that they aren't worth what they earn?
Every employee, from the Fortune 500 CEO to the guy who refills condom machines at interstate truck stops, is worth exactly what the labor market will bear for his effort.
Anybody like to tell me where I'm wrong?

IRS still in the business of intimidation on behalf of democrats
Ron Paul's non-profit, Campaign for Liberty, has been predictably targeted by the IRS for scrutiny and fines for not providing the IRS with its donor rolls. If his son Rand Paul wasn't the current front-runner for the GOP nomination in 2016, his group wouldn't even be on the IRS radar.
Apparently 501(c)(4) organizations are supposed to provide donor lists to the IRS for some reason, with the guarantee that the information is private, but many times in the past those lists have been "leaked" to political opponents of that organization, presumably for the purposes of intimidation so those donors will stop giving money.
Ron Paul is correct in fighting this obvious first amendment violation. The federal government has no legitimate purpose for knowing who donates money to what causes, only to candidates themselves. If an organization wants to be non-profit, then it must show that it makes no profit, who donates money is irrelevant, only that all the money it takes in goes toward the operating and salary budget of its employees.
I already have Planck's Constant on my blog roll over in the right-hand margin and I hope you visit there regularly. Bernie is an unrepentant Muslim insulter as am I.......after all, the cult of Islam isn't going to insult itself. There's lots of other interesting content on his site and you should put it on your daily rotation of visits.

Eric Holder is a disgrace
Here's AG Eric Holder whining like a little girl, in barely veiled language, about how badly he and Obama have been treated as black men. He doesn't say it outright, but clearly that's what he's talking about. I mean look who he's talking to, the National Action Network whose motto is "No Justice, No Peace" and the snitch Al Sharpton is sitting right next to him. Of course he's playing the race card.
If there are two men in America who have benefited more because of their politically favorable skin color than Holder and Obama, I don't know who they might be.

Jay Carney's happy to be part of a lie, even when it's unnecessary to protect Obama
Beltway gadflies Jay Carney and Claire Shipman are trying to revitalize the paper publishing industry by telling us we should buy more books. MOM magazine did a puff piece with them and their two brats using a photo that included a backdrop of a bookshelf......only the backdrop was about as believable as Jay Carney's answers to media questions about Obamacare. Like they couldn't find an actual bookcase to pose in front of or at least hire a competent Photoshop artist?
But then I'm not surprised by an unnecessary charade coming from a man who decorates his house with vintage soviet propaganda posters and lies repeatedly on a daily basis as his job.
Rory Reid is a mincing dick
The truth comes out. Apparently Harry Reid's mincing son Rory, has close ties to a Chinese energy giant who wants the federal land in north east Nevada to build a giant solar plant, a deal partially brokered by Rory.
Rory needed his dad to get the Bundy's off that land and have it re-purposed for idiotic green energy. I'll bet we'll find that Harry's fingerprints are all over the genesis of the federal raid on Cliven Bundy's cattle.
I didn't think you could be a bigger douche than Harry Reid, but his son Rory proved me wrong. I mean look at his tiny, pinched features.....you know he's a horrible person.
Repent, the end is near
So the first of four consecutive blood moons will occur tomorrow, April 15. Many conspiracy theorists and religious fanatics believe that God intentionally made them coincident with seminal events regarding Israel. But Passover is already scheduled to the lunar calendar, so it's not really a divine event in my mind. That blood moon.
Many preachers are raising money on the notion that God made all this happen in order to send us a cryptic message about the end of times or something, but for that to be the case, He would have had to alter the orbits of Earth and moon, as well as the position of the sun in the solar system. Does anybody think He did that just to send a message to dumb humans?
Lunar eclipses happen all the time and while unusual, there's nothing divinely indicated because four of them are happening within an 18 month period.....it's not divine, just interesting.

Jeb and Hillary: one and the same
When the establishment GOP nominates Jeb Bush in 2016, this is all you need to know.....today on "Morning Joe", Chuck Shumer essentially endorsed Jeb because of his amnesty and open-borders immigration policy.
If you're a republican and you get endorsed by a democrat as despicable and dastardly as Chuck Shumer, how do you not question every life decision you've ever made?
If it comes down to voting for Hillary or Jeb, I won't vote. To paraphrase Hillary, what difference, at that point, would it make? They're the same person.
Al Sharpton was a dirty, rat-fink snitch
Turns out Al Sharpton was a dirty snitch on the MOB for the FBI.....and from the looks of this picture, might have a tapeworm.
Kind of ironic that he now makes his living in the race-extortion racket, extortion being something that, but for Sharpton's politically-favorable skin color, the FBI would normally be interested in.
Heh heh, Jay-Z thinks he's a god
Jay-Z and Beyonce might be the richest black couple in the US. They got that way from rich, dumb white kids buying their horrible music CD's and overpriced concert tickets, which make the gaudy necklace Jay-Z now sports an odd choice. The 8-pt star with the number 7 in the middle is the symbol of the "5% Nation", a spin-off of the Black Panthers who believe that all black men have God in them, that black women serve them as complementary but subservient vessels, and that all white people are the devil. They don't consider themselves Muslims but their name is adopted directly from the Muslim belief that 5% of humanity are "poor, righteous teachers" whose job it is to enlighten the rest of us about the truth of existence.
There's so much white guilt in America that you'll probably see white people start wearing the symbol themselves....willfully adopting their penitent role as devil to Jay-Z's self-identity as a god.
What a pathetic culture!

The slow erasure of American culture
Long ago the sensitivity police forced Atlanta to get rid of Chief Knock-a-Homa, the beloved mascot of the Braves. Now they're after Chief Wahoo, the Cleveland Indian's cheerful cartoon mascot, ostensibly because the portrayal hurts the feelings of some Indians somewhere. Chief Wahoo will be replaced on the hat by a boring block "C".
Perhaps if the thought police, many of them at ESPN, cared about actual Indians rather than making themselves feel good by imposing their will on the harmless activities of others, real Indians could pull themselves out of poverty, addiction, and general dereliction long enough to not care about a harmless cartoon.
But PC moonbats don't care about actual people, as long as their authoritarian sanctimony is sated by forcing others to bend to their demands on self-righteous behalf of imaginary victims.
Every time you yield and inch to busy-body autocrats, they take another and another until there is no culture left, only gray hues of phony egalitarian sensitivity.
Hat tip to Moonbattery.
UPS isn't messing around
250 UPS drivers in Queens, NY to UPS: "Yeah, we're gonna go ahead and stop delivering packages for 90 minutes to protest the firing of our friend."
UPS to those drivers: "You're fired!"
Heh heh, idiots!
Evidently, that's about half the drivers in Queens and in the highly competitive environment of business package delivery, DHL, FedEx, and USPS will swoop in and grab that business in a hurry. UPS knows this and cannot afford to look like they're caving to stupid work slow-downs.
Moreover, the real unemployment rate is something like 18%. No doubt there are thousands of guys who'd love to be UPS drivers. I'm not sure I'd strike to symbolically support a work buddy who got fired, even if only for 90 minutes.

I've taken my last bite of turd sandwich
Ann Coulter has gone off the deep end if she thinks anybody besides establishment republicans will vote for Mitt Romney. I certainly won't and I don't see Tea Party conservatives getting behind him either. He's another big-government, compassionate conservative.....which means it'll be business as usual, the government will keep growing, debt will keep growing, regulations will continue to be imposed, and the middle class will continue to pay for it all.
Don't get me wrong, sometimes she makes perfect sense, but then at other times she adopts the William F. Buckley rule for GOP elections......vote for the most "electable" republican rather than the one who holds positions most similar to yours. I think that's what she' s advocating by supporting a draft-Romney movement. I lived by that rule for years, but never again....I don't care who gets elected. Dole, McCain, Romney, Jeb Bush, even George Bush.....guys like that will not get my vote.
I've taken my last bite of turd sandwich.

US, embarrassingly hypocritical on drug use
So based on her admission of past illicit drug use(without prosecution much less conviction), Nigella Lawson, who is legally employed and pays taxes in the US, was denied boarding on a flight from the UK to Los Angeles.
Does this make any sense to anybody?
-Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, famous admitted drug users, come to the US whenever they like.
-Illegal immigrants from Mexico, most of them probably drug mules if not addicts themselves, come across the border unhindered, welcomed by our government with the promise of generous welfare benefits.
-I'd bet at least half of the congressmen and senators in DC are rabid cocaine users, or have been at some point in their lives. We know Barack Obama smoked pot for years and did cocaine regularly. Probably still dabbles today from time to time.....how else to tolerate being married to Michelle?

I don't know Ms. Lawson from Adam's house cat, but she generates income for a lot of people here and she pays a lot of taxes. Why make some sort of we-disapprove-of-drugs example of her?

The US finding new ways to kiss Muslim ass
$400,000 of your and my tax dollars went to pay some dirty hippie to make this life-sized statue of a camel out of fiberglass that will decorate the front yard of the new American embassy in Pakistan. The camel is gazing into the eye of that huge needle. (For the biblically stupid, the camel getting through the eye of a needle is a metaphor for the difficulty with which the wealthy can get into heaven.)
State Department rules say that any art on foreign American property must be consistent with the prevailing religious practices of that country.....in this case, the barbaric cult of Islam. But why this particular statue with this specific theme, you may ask?
I think it's clear. In dhimmi fashion, the US government wants to bow to Islamic Pakistanis by acknowledging that rich Americans will not get into their version of heaven.
More Common Core nonsense
Who ever came up with the Common Core garbage needs to be fired. This is a Common Core "math" problem for the third grade. I can't make sense of it at all, can you?
This is how unpopular Common Core is with parents around the country. The blue states never adopted it, the red states are in the process of backing away or abandoning it altogether, and the gray states still think it's a good idea.
If there was ever a good argument for applying Federalism via the 10th amendment, it would be the federal government takeover of education by imposing this Common Core idiocy on schools.

Wisconsin teachers more worried about imaginary racism than teaching
Teachers in Madison, WI are attending the White Privilege Conference where they are taught, BY WHITE PEOPLE, that racism is as natural to white people as having a drink is to an alcoholic. Among the "classes" they attend are, "Against the Tea Party Movement," "If You Build It, They Will Come: Developing a Pre K-12 Curricular Scope and Sequence for Whiteness and Anti-Racism," and "Climate-Change-Mind-Set: Replacing White Liberalism with Racial Justice as Our Communities Organize in Response to Climate Change."
This is why education in the US is so atrocious. Our teachers are busy with crap like this.
I can't be certain, but this is a sign from the conference. Would you want the idiot who made this sign to teach your kid, anything?

British snipers are bad asses
Cool, a British sniper used a modified Accuracy International L115A3 like the one shown, to kill 6 Taliban terrorists with a single shot from just over half a mile away. In Helmand Province, the soldier tracked the small band of Taliban insurgents sneaking along a tree line and through his scope spotted weapons and a bomb vest. He fired a shot and hit the trigger mechanism for the bomb and blew them all up at once.....heh heh.
This same soldier killed an insurgent with his very first shot as a sniper in Afghanistan when he tagged him from 0.83 miles away.
Of all the places I'd NOT like to be, at the business end of a British sniper rifle would be at the top.
