“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Fred Phelps is the worst person in the world
I try to not advocate violence against citizens but there are one or two instances where I do. The case of the accursed abomination known as Fred Phelps is one of them....
From TheBaltimoreSun -- Lawyers for the father of a Marine who died in Iraq and whose funeral was picketed by anti-gay protesters say a court has ordered him to pay the protesters' appeal costs.
On Friday, the Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ordered that Albert Snyder of York, Pa., pay costs associated with Fred Phelps' appeal. Phelps is the leader of the Westboro Baptist Church, which conducted protests at the funeral of Snyder's son, Marine Lance Cpl. Matthew Snyder, in Westminster in 2006.
Lawyers for Snyder say the Court of Appeals has ordered him to pay $16,510.80 to Phelps for costs relating to the appeal, despite the fact that the U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to review the Court of Appeals' decision.
This guy Phelps and his flock of inbred degenerates regularly "protest" at funerals of fallen servicemen. I can't think of anything more hateful or heinous, or more deserving of a thorough ass kicking. While I'm a defender of the 1st amendment and it's protections of even the most hateful speech, I would support somebody, not the cops, visiting bodily harm on these people. The first amendment protects free speakers from intimidation and punishment from the government but, it doesn't protect you from punishment from other citizens. If this whole cult mysteriously disappeared, only to be found months from now, tied to cinder blocks at the bottom of a river.....I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. In fact, I'd raise a glass and toast who ever did it.

The first time I ran into this crowd was at a fire chiefs' convention in Kansas City about 7 or 8 years ago. They were going on about how the FDNY guys killed on 9/11 deserved it because of gay issues! The KC cops had to have a substantial contengent protecting these scum from us.
The judge in this case, unless he is absolutely required to do this by some law, is an ass.
Yeah, that's the impression I get. I don't think anything in written law says that a judge must order anybody to pay anybody elses court costs. If it's the law, it's the law but, if not, how do you kick a parent who lost a kid when he's down, and then live with yourself.
