“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Colin Powell's pearls of wisdom

In one statement, Colin Powell managed to slam the two currently, most influential conservatives in America, Rush Limbaugh and Sarah Palin.....

First on Rush, the guy who expresses conservative ideas better than darn near anybody....

"Can we continue to listen to Rush Limbaugh?" Powell asked. "Is this really the kind of party that we want to be when these kinds of spokespersons seem to appeal to our lesser instincts rather than our better instincts?"

Then when asked about Sarah Palin, he snooted thusly......

Gov. Palin, to some extent, pushed the party more to the right, and I think she had something of a polarizing effect when she talked about how small town values are good. Well, most of us don't live in small towns. And I was raised in the South Bronx, and there's nothing wrong with my value system from the South Bronx.

What an obtuse moron! She didn't say that only people in small towns have good values. She was just describing any good values as being small-town values. Powell knew that.

I can't decide if he's sucking up to the media by criticizing conservatives in order to get some position in the Obama administration or if he's just a useful-idiot tool of the Left. Colin Powell cannot claim to be conservative and then vote for The One, the most liberal politician in America. He got caught up in the race thing just like everybody else.

I found this over on The Huffington Post.
