Obama loses big with "recess" appointments
A three judge panel at the federal level yanked Obama's executive leash today as they dismissed as unconstitutional, a handful of "recess" appointments back in January of last year. Obama decided that any time the congress isn't currently in town, it counts as "recess". According to article II Section 2 of the Constitution however, congressional recess exists only when the congress officially declares itself to be in recess at the end of the legislative year.
The case will go to the Supreme Court where hopefully the judges will uphold the lower appeals court and properly chastise Obama for this blatant over-reach.
Democrats wake every morning conspiring ways to skirt the Constitution. They see it as an impediment to achieving their political goals. And in the case of Obama, he sees it as a fatally flawed document that needs dramatic overhauling to address his fanatical ideas of social justice through redistribution of wealth. Surely by the time this reaches the high court, those nine will no longer be intimidated by Obama's messianic persona and just do the right thing already.
