“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Let the Muslims riot

Here it is if you haven't seen it. The cartoon of Mohammad that got published in a French satire rag. The publication of this one image caused the French government to close 20 of its embassies around the world out of utter cowardice.

"But Ed" you whine, "this is highly insulting to Islam. You are contributing to the conflagration by publishing this on your blog."

Don't you people get it? These images must, MUST be published because to not publish them is tacit acknowledgement that the insanity that is the Muslims' reaction is somehow reasonable in a civilized society.

If Muslims were only more like Ed. Why, just the other day some bastard blew up Ed's car, killed his dog, stole his wallet and called his wife a "diseased cunt" and Ed didn't get the least bit mad. The thought of punching the guy's lights out never entered Ed's mind. Why can't Muslims be like that, for crying out loud?

Isaac, nobody has done any of these things to Muslims, except perhaps metaphorically in their deranged minds.

And yes, Muslims should all be more like me. This world would be a much more peaceful, safe, logical, and reasonable place to live.

@Ed "...nobody has done any of these things to Muslims..."

Bwahahaha!!! Thats a good one, Ed. A good one, indeed.

OK Isaac, I'll bite. Let's see the list of atrocities perpetrated by the world on Muslims that warrant the violence and bloodshed that we've seen the last 20 years.

And don't include kicking Palestinians off their land to make room for Israel....because I'm sure that single item IS your list.

(P.S. For a gold star, name the countries against whom Iran initiated attacks in the last 200 years.)

Wait, because Muslims, or countries who have Muslims living there, were involved in warring, that means they were subjected to atrocities?

Ed, Ed.

How cavalierly you dismiss the fact that the U.S., without justification, runs roughshod over the rest of the world, killing and maiming mostly civilians in the process, destroying houses, farms, factories, water works, sewer plants, etc., etc., etc. as we go, and installing brutal sock puppets who fuck over the indigenous peoples for America's thirty pieces of silver.

Jeremiah certainly knew what he was talking about when he wrote, "The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?"

Isaac, I'm not defending the US happily and self-righteously going around policing the rest of the world whether invited or not, but none of it is directed specifically toward Muslims. We at least are equal-opportunity occupiers. We'll happily kick the crap out of anybody, regardless of religious affiliation.

As I've stated before, I'd rather we didn't, but when we do it, it's not discriminatory other than we only impose our brand of democracy on nations who can't fight back much.

So you are right that we arrogantly throw our weight around as if everybody wants us to, but you are wrong to assume it's directed against Muslims. They're just the ones causing the most trouble, so naturally they get most of our attention.

And I expect a chicken/egg point to be made by you about that.
