“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Arab Spring more like Lord of the Flies

Here are members of Obama's Arab-Spring parading around with the corpse of the US ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, after murdering him and three other embassy officials this morning in Benghazi.

And what are our quisling media saying about it? They are apologizing for the offensiveness of the stupid Youtube video that enraged this assholes in the first place. They are feigning outrage themselves for the movie having been made in the US.

Why Benghazi isn't alight with the fires of carpet-bombed napalm already is a mystery to me. President Obama wants the US to be liked and himself to be adored by everybody in the world, so he won't say anything even slightly vengeful. What he sold to us as the spring of democracy in the Arab world turned out to be utter chaos and anti-Americanism.

The world is a much safer place in which to live when the rest of the world is terrified of the US. You misbehave in a way that harms US interests, you get punished. Clearly these bastards do not fear the US. Romney needs to give an unequivocal statement on how he would avenge these murders, which by the way, might rise to the level of an act of war. But I doubt he'll say anything that strong.

@Ed "You [mis]behave in a way that harms US interests, you get punished."

I think you have defined the problem, Ed, not the solution. America, arrogantly, expects other nations to behave in ways that benefit the U.S. and against the best interests of their own citizens.

Toward that end we do such things as plunder their natural resources, install our hand-picked puppet leaders, and punish acts of self-interest (e.g. state-owned banks and gold-based currency, etc.).

In the iconic words of Dr. Phil, how is that working out for us?

In his 11/13/12 blog, Alan Hart explains why U.S. drone killings are likely the proximate cause of the attack on the U.S. embassy in Libya, not the juvenile You Tube video that so many people blame.

Thus we see your prescription in action, Ed (make the Islamic world fear us) and the consequences of it (anger and retaliation). The Hatfield/McCoy parallels are inescapable.
