As most of you know, I have a firmly held belief that if everybody drove like me, America would be a much more pleasant, safe, and efficient nation in which to travel. But alas, there are annoying morons behind the wheel everywhere, tormenting me with their inconsiderate stupidity.
EXhibit A: I'm at a red light this morning, needing to get in the left turn lane to catch the green arrow. The turn lane is right there, but I can't squeeze between the curb and the car in front of me. There's a woman on her cell phone blocking my access to it, even though there are almost two car lengths of space between her and the car in front of her. She is utterly oblivious.
Finally I honk my horn and when I get her attention in the mirror, I give her the "scoot up" hand signal and she rolls her eyes and slowly rolls up. It only took like 2 meters and I could get by, but she glared at me as I drove past like I was being rude for disturbing her phone call. I briefly considered gracing her with a different hand signal, but decided to be the better person.
