“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

Tired of Putin kicking his ass, Obama retreats to friendly sports

Here's Obama's March Madness bracket, cordially filled out by Vlad. Putin......

While Putin redraws the borders of Russia, contemplates taking the whole of Ukraine, and threatens to cut of all natural gas to eastern Europe, while Venezuela burns, while Israel prepares for war with Iran, and Iran spins up it's 10,000 uranium centrifuges, and Michelle takes another lavish vacation courtesy of the taxpayers, Obama can't find anything better to occupy his mind than making his stupid basketball tournament picks.

Obama isn't a serious leader, he's an immature adolescent in a huge, free playroom called the US.

For heavens sake, Ed. Stop trying to frighten your reader(s) into thinking that Iran has a nuclear weapons program. You may think they do but you don't have a single shred of evidence. So just stop already.

Isaac, everybody in the world thinks Iran is pretending to only be creating energy. Even the Saudi's are terrified of a nuclear Iran.

So I thought about this on the way into work today, thus the double comment without waiting for a reply:

You might argue that everybody thought Saddam had WMD's before we invaded. That's a fair point, but he intentionally fomented that impression for two reasons in my opinion. First was to deter Iran from attacking him and the other was to deter George Bush from attacking him, the assumption being that the American people don't have the stomachs for their sons and daughters getting killed with chemicals. And he was right, we don't.

And you might also make the point that Iran is doing something similar, but for different reasons. Behaving in a way that makes the world believe it has a nuclear weapons program when it really doesn't, to deter the Americans and Israelis from attacking it.

And all that might be the case, but given that the consequences of being wrong(that is a nuclear armed Iran changes everything in the middle east), shouldn't we at least be paying attention and be prepared in case?

Obama's not even paying attention. Hell, he's not paying attention to anything that going on.

"Everybody" except the IAEC inspectors. And me. And about a zillion other people.

So your point is that only the Americans and Jews think Iran has a nuclear weapons program?

Ed, our American masters know that the Iranians do not have a nuclear weapons program. The Israeli leadership know that the Iranians do not have a nuclear weapons program. Both, however, want the American public to think otherwise because they intend, at some point, to attack Iran (for entirely unrelated reasons) and when they do, they want the public to think it was done for good and necessary reasons.

(That psyop has been hugely successful with a great many Americans, yourself included, evidently.)

I'm not in favor of attacking Iran, even if they do have a WMD program. Why do the puppet-masters want to attack Iran? What do they have that we want?

I guess I can believe virtually any conspiracy because I believe the human capacity for nefariousness and self-serving evil is boundless, but I just don't see the end game. What's the grand purpose of it all, if it is indeed a master-conspiracy of world domination.

I believe that the puppet-masters exist to enrich themselves and their families, but I find it hard to believe they have that much influence around the world....that is unless every country has a set of oligarchs who belong to a secret club and they make all decisions. And I just find that too fantastic to believe.

"What do they have that we want?"

When you try to decide whether something is too fantastic to be believed, do you ever reach beyond what you can imagine, Ed? Is it possible that others could sometimes plan and execute things that your mind might overlook as too fantastic to be believed?

What lengths, for example, would private central bankers go to overthrow the government-owned central bank of Iran and install their own privately-owned central bank? (Remember, now, that they have unlimited wealth to do anything they set their mind to. After all, they are in the usury and counterfeiting business.)

How quickly after the overthrow of the leaders of certain other countries, Libya for example, was a privately-owned central bank installed?

Or to consider another scenario, what is necessary in order to get the peoples of the world to accept global governance?

Do the peoples of the world ... the nations of the world ... have to be broke, hungry, sick and hopeless? Is war a good vehicle to bring such conditions into existence?

Unlike you and me, would he sociopaths and psychopaths involved be unconcerned about who gets hurt in the process?

Fair points all.

But isn't it also possible that much of this stuff happens naturally because human beings are generally awful to each other, on the personal, national, and global levels?

Isaac A. Nussbaum said...

If this were an academic discussion, yes.

But this isn't an academic discussion. It is an investigation of what is. Those involved have told us what is. Some of us are paying attention. Others, not so much.

BTW, Ed. What does the Project for a New American Century and related documents call for?

Were the authors of those documents just clowning around, not really serious?

From Press TV:

Russian President Vladimir Putin is standing up against West’s aggression aimed at completely destroying traditional nations and values and creating a New World Order global dictatorship, an analyst says.

Ongoing Western attempts to destabilize Ukraine, Syria and Iran as well as other countries are the “most recent examples of a decade-old pattern of aggression” which the Russian president is countering, Kevin Barrett, a professor of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, wrote in an article for Press TV website.

“In short, the New World Order – a shadowy group of global banking oligarchs bent on establishing a one-world dictatorship – is trying to overthrow every leader on earth who resists. Russian President Putin is resisting. That is why the Western propaganda machine is calling him names,” Barrett said.

He noted that Russia and Iran are both successfully resisting a New World Order dictatorship

Admittedly my conclusions aren't evidence based, but I just don't believe there's a secret vast cabal plotting world economic domination by overthrowing third-world countries.

And as for this guy whose quotes you included, he's a tad short on evidence too. He's just using loaded terminology designed to create a nefarious image in the mind of the reader.

I could just as easily describe the kid who sacks my groceries as a shifty, heavily tattooed, punk who avoids eye contact, and you'd suspect him first, based solely on my description, upon hearing about a theft at the Piggly Wiggly.

Do I think there are plenty of shadowy banking oligarchs who'd live for there to be a one-world government with them in charge? Of course I do.

But do I think they've all colluded to make that happen, by hiding their plans among some awful and stupid foreign policy maneuvers by the US and others? No.
