Of all the Obama associations that have been thrown under the Hope-n-Change bus to protect him, none is more deserving than Obama's pet organization, ACORN. These totally corrupt community agitators were set to not only receive billions in taxpayer cash, they were going to participate in the 2010 census.....well, not so fast it seems.....“We do not come to this decision lightly,” Census director Robert Groves wrote in a letter to ACORN, which was obtained by The Associated Press.
In splitting with ACORN, Groves sought to tamp down GOP concerns and negative publicity that the partnership will taint the 2010 head count.
“It is clear that ACORN’s affiliation with the 2010 census promotion has caused sufficient concern in the general public, has indeed become a distraction from our mission, and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 census efforts,” Groves wrote.
Groves was personally tapped by Obama to head up the census. For him to jettison all affiliation with ACORN is remarkable because you know he had to have Obama's personal approval. Obama realized his popularity and credibility, even among his typically wild-eyed supporters, were being eroded when it came to light this week that ACORN officials in different offices advised under-cover investigators how to run prostitution rings, and other felony crimes, undetected.
After it was shown last year how ACORN workers in all 50 states falsified voter registrations, Americans across the country had threatened to not participate in the census if ACORN people were involved. You can imagine with ACORN people counting heads, the populations of Detroit, Washington DC, and all black population centers would inexplicably increase, and their congressional apportionment go up accordingly. In terms of corruption, ACORN is right up there with labor unions and the MOB, only unions and organized crime don't get handed billions in taxpayer cash for their activities. They don't need to be simply distanced, they need to be shut down.

I think you are correct Bill...ACORN is still in position to receive $80.1billion in taxpayer cash from Obama. To do what, heaven only knows. If these videos keep showing up, they're at three corrupt offices and counting, at some point even Obama will have to admit that they don't deserve any of other peoples' money.
Hope and Change I can believe in. Of course I have no hope that Barry would actually sign this, and I also have no confidence that congress wouldn't find some other idiotic use for this money.
Bill, your instincts serve you well. Once congress appropriates money from the taxpayers, they almost never give it back. They use it for some other absurd vote-buying scheme. We can kiss it googbye.....unless we can retake the House in 2010.
