Looks like the Obama administration is paying off it's nitwit friends in Hollyweird already....
WASHINGTON -- A tiny car company backed by former Vice President Al Gore has just gotten a $529 million U.S. government loan to help build a hybrid sports car in Finland that will sell for about $89,000.
The award this week to California startup Fisker Automotive Inc. follows a $465 million government loan to Tesla Motors Inc., purveyors of a $109,000 British-built electric Roadster. Tesla is a California startup focusing on all-electric vehicles, with a number of celebrity endorsements that is backed by investors that have contributed to Democratic campaigns.

No private company anywhere, should ever get a single dime of taxpayer money.....EVER!!! If moronic celebrities want to drive around in stupid electric cars that cost half of what most peoples' houses cost, then let them buy the cars and support the companies. Private companies are private because they depend entirely on the market to either buy their product or service or not. There should be no government assistance to help politically correct companies who otherwise can't compete in the market place. Nor should self-important celebrities win fabulous cash and prizes for their pet companies because they gave a lot of money to a crooked politician. That's outrageous!
That stupid electric piece of crap up there is what your tax dollars have been seized to pay for, so idiots in Finland can delude themselves into believing that they are saving the polar bears, a speckled newt, or something equally moronic.

That's cuz there's more important stuff - like crappy cars - to spend money on than, say, helping out people in need of JUNK like healthcare and housing and food....
How many people could Barry have bought insurance for with that $500+ million?
Precisely Angie! For a fraction of the money it'll cost to change everybody's insurance, he could purchase policies for every uninsured American every year, indefinitely, and leave the rest of us entirely alone. Which proves that it's not about insuring all Americans but, about the federal seizure of 1/7th of the US economy.
And he should have paid off all our mortgages, auto loans, credit cards and not paid a dime directly to the banks and saved trillions of dollars, actually helped US (both as in we and United States) and not just pumped $$$ directly into bank profits. Or have I lost sight of the big picture now Ed?
