Just put the cell phone down for a minute

I've exposed some awfully stupid "news" stories here on TRR but, this might be the dumbest of all....

(CNN)If your pinkie and ring fingers tingle and feel numb, you might not want to pick up that cell phone to call the doctor. Orthopedic specialists are reporting cases of "cell phone elbow", in which patients damage an essential nerve in their arm by bending their elbows for too long.

People who have this condition called, cubital tunnel syndrome, can have weakness in their hands and experience difficulty opening jars and playing musical instruments.

If you are too stupid and addicted to put the cell phone down, to the point that you injure yourself, then you deserve to be in crippling, debilitating agony. It's no body's fault but your own.

Now that there's a name for it, derelict employees everywhere will start taking paid time off from work to rehab their cell-phone elbow, demanding that their employers provide blue-tooth head sets, or just going straight to court to sue their employers for work-related cell phone injuries. And the costs of doing business with those companies will go up for the rest of us.

I received this comment from a dude in California about whose pet I wrote this blog post back in February. It was about a news story regarding a reticulated python that got away in a neighborhood full of pets and children. Let me address this point by point: First, Clarice has never eaten live food because you have never given it to her. Two, she has never bitten, struck out, or harmed anyone because, as everybody knows, when gorged on food, reptiles are very docile and non-aggressive unless threatened.

Try not feeding her for a while and then run a small child near her out in the yard. I've said it before and I'll say it again, we cannot make friends with carnivorous, top-predatory reptiles. We are nothing but their next potential meal. Today she eats prekilled rabbits but, try skipping a couple of mealtimes, her next meal will be you. He called me "Jack-ass"....hilarious!

Hillary weilds the power of The One to affect change in the middle east---FAIL!!!

Liberals have always been bizarrely hostile to Israel. Their anti-Semitism seems to be exceeded only by their boundless adoration of Muslim terrorists. This is why it was so poignantly ironic when Israel replied to our demand that they stop settling land that rightfully belongs to them....

Hillary Clinton strongly voiced the position of the Obama administration regarding Jewish settlements in disputed(according to Hamas terrorists) West Bank territories....The U.S. State Department demands that Israel limit Jewish growth in these areas of Jerusalem, “whose status remains to be determined” in negotiations.

Israeli Government Press Director Daniel Seamen reacted to this Obama administration statement by saying: “I have to admire the residents of Iroquois territory for assuming that they have a right to determine where Jews should live in Jerusalem.”

EPIC PWNAGE!!!

Israel won that land fair-and-square in the six-days war when they kicked the ever-loving dog crap out of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria....simultaneously. All we did to settle our land is kill off a few bands of primitive Indians...or cheat them out of it with booze, shiny trinkets, and beads. If anybody needs to give land back they won through war, it's the US, not Israel.

This is how I picture Obama and Hillary all the time. Now the rest of the world is seeing what I see and the bloom is off the Obama rose.

Liberal hypocrisy on display

Pay attention to the reactions of the Obama administration and the media to this murder of an Army recruiter, as opposed to the murder yesterday of late-term abortionist George Tiller.

One Army recruiter was killed Monday and a second was wounded in a shooting at a recruiting office, and a suspect was arrested, police said.

Look at the sign in the upper left corner of the picture. Besides being awful judges of letter size, couldn't these protesters say the same thing about late-term abortionists?

To liberals like Obama and 95% of the MSM, the US military is the focus of all evil in the world today. It's members are to be scorned and denigrated as back-woods yokels who have no choices but to join up, and if someone attacks them, it's understandable. On the other hand, late-term abortionists are to be hailed as modern-day Constitutional heroes who stand resolute for women's right to choose to arbitrarily kill their totally viable babies. It's also the cornerstone of the democrat party. I wonder if US Marshalls will be dispatched to recruiting stations to protect them, as they are for the abortionists.....I won't hold my breath.

Who bails out the bailers?

If you don't think America's economic apocalypse is upon us, take a look at this graph. The organization(FDIC) that insures every penny in every bank account belonging to every American, against bankruptcy of the bank, is about to go bankrupt itself. No doubt Obama will appropriate still more countless billions or trillions or ?-illions, to save it but, at what cost? The financial costs will be staggering but, what about the cost in terms of confidence in our banking system. Who'll trust the safety of investment, or savings, or bonds when the institutions that secure those entities are suspect? Good grief!!!

When stupidity validates evolution

Now you all know that I'm not one to poke fun of the recently deceased......well come to think of it, sure I am, especially when the kill themselves in impossibly stupid ways....

CHICAGO — Chicago police are investigating the death of a 33-year-old woman who was apparently crushed by her garage door on the city's South Side.

The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the remains as Yneekah Garcia of Chicago.

Police were called to the scene at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday and found the door on Garcia's neck.

Family members say the garage door on Garcia's home had been broken and believe Garcia had parked her vehicle inside the garage before trying to lower it manually.

Crushing your own neck with a garage door is as idiotic as getting hit by a train. Trains and garage doors are on tracks...it's not like they sneak up on you and crush you. I can see lowering the door on your foot maybe, but how does it hit your neck. Was she lying on the floor? I don't get it.

TRR poll question

So I cut a tree down in my back yard this weekend. It was too small to call a tree guy but, too big to take down on one piece. I had to cut the top half off first and pull it down with a rope to avoid other trees, the deck, and power lines. I had already made the front-side wedge cut. Below is the clip of me making the back-side cut. It's an anti-climactic clip since nobody was filming when the tree was actually pulled down. Pride blinds the foolish

You know things are bad when the Russians are lecturing us on free markets and pointing at and mocking our "descent in Marxism" at the hands of The One. Seriously, if you read nothing else this weekend, read this short op-ed from the English version of Pravda. Here's an excerpt of Stanislav Mishin's assessment of the US....

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blinds the foolish.

Sadly, he is spot on the money! The American, Marxist welfare state has been deviously advanced by insidious politicians in both parties. Meanwhile, we Americans pretend to hold the high moral ground when it comes to economic and social freedoms but, we are dangerously close to becoming merely serfs, toiling in our crap jobs to support with our taxes the behemoth, voracious, imperial State. How humiliatingly ironic to be lectured by a Russian about free markets, government control of the means of production, and worst of all, our delusional willingness to embrace our enslavement to the State while chirping about how free we are.

In the absence of any other news-worthy epidemics, apparently the CDC is still worried about Swine Flu....who knew?

A U.S. health official said a swine flu vaccine could be available as early as October, but only if production and testing run smoothly this summer.

CDC officials reported more than 8,500 probable and confirmed cases in the United States.

Meanwhile, health officials in an Illinois county said a 42-year-old man has died from complications of swine flu. The officials said the victim had other medical problems. The man is the third person in the state to die from swine flu.

Let's see, they say the vaccine could be ready by October. Well, if my calculations are correct, and I'd like to think they are, that means that at the current Swine Flu mortality rate, like 6 more immuno-compromized Americans could possibly die.....they'd better hurry!

California teachers-----Epic Fail!!!

$10 says this kid will grow up to vote for Obama. Not because he believes in socialism, but because he's too stupid to know any better.

California teachers are among the highest paid union teachers in the country and like all dreadful unions, they extort absurdly high wages from their employers, the taxpayers. Try reading the sign this retard is prancing around with and ask yourself if the California taxpayers are getting their money's worth or do the teachers deserve a pay cut?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, labor unions are bad for the employers who tolerate their ridiculous demands, unions are bad for the labor market which gets skewed toward wage levels that the free, market economy cannot bear, which in turn forces the prices the rest of us pay for union produced goods to go up.

When union teachers are producing idiots like this kid, how do they demand, with a straight face, to have their salaries protected by politicians? Answer: because politicians need dumbed down generations of Americans who don't understand anything other than how to text a vote on Idol. And they need reliable democrat voters. So the teachers agree to teach politically-correct government propoganda, designed specifically to produce the stupidest generation of Americans....ever, and they promise to vote democrat, all in exchange for union wage protection.
