C17 Globemaster, surprise sighting
I just watched a USAF C17 Globemaster land in Birmingham. Not as big as the C5 Galaxy but damned impressive just the same.

I haven't seen one live before. It was very cool as it flew over me on final.
I flew on one from Cyprus to Incirlik AB, Turkey in 2003. I rather enjoyed it.
Dave, were you swinging around on the web seats in the hold like when we went to Turkey, or did they have seats for you?
Web seats. But it was a nice ride. Much better than any C-130 or C-141 ride I've ever had.
