New gas-can regs are idiotic

The list of things I resent grows ever longer by the day it seems. The latest is the idiotic, mandatory, no-spill, safety gas-can nozzle.

After being lobbied heavily, where bribes almost certainly played a role, by the Portable Fuel Container Manufacturers Association, compassionate conservative George W. Bush ordered that OSHA mandate these stupid no-spill and no venting gas cans be the only gas cans sold. Quite an economic windfall for the container makers, wouldn't you say?

These stupid things barely work, if they work at all, and I usually end up taking the whole nozzle off and pouring the gas with a funnel into the motor.

Regular reader Kevin says he usually just fills up empty 1gal milk cartons while giving the finger to the alarmed gas station attendant, since that's been added to the list of things made illegal for the benefit of political donors. 

You can't convince me that morons all over the US were dousing themselves with gas to the point that a government solution was necessary.

I know where an Army/Navy surplus store is nearby....I'll bet they have those old metal jerry cans from WWII......now that's a gas can I can use.

The rise of the welfare state is no accident and when you combine phase II of the master plan known as Cloward-Piven, which is the intentional, malevolent displacement of Americans with massive numbers of disease-ridden, illiterate welfare colonists from wretched hell-holes like Somalia, Syria, Libya, Mexico, etc, all of whom are hostile to American culture, and you have the formula for a permanently democrat-controlled husk of a nation, where the few finance the lifestyles of leisure of the many, through coercive taxation.

This process is accelerated geometrically when you consider the alarmingly high birth rate for this tidal wave of immigrants, where the generous welfare state has relieved them of the necessity to raise their own young.

Want to see what the US will look like in a few decades? Look at Zimbabwe and South Africa where productive, educated whites have been forcefully displaced by illiterate criminals.

Your tax dollars hard at work

Your government has spent over $400,000 on a grant to study the "meaning and function" of first-time homosexual penetrative sex encounters of gay black guys and if that experience determines the trajectory of the young man's sex life going forward.

How in the world you might ask, could somebody get this idiocy funded when cancer, heart disease, and infectious diseases remain uncured? Well, a quick look at the wording of the grant proposal may reveal the answer.......

“AA [men who have sex with men] MSM struggle with a sexual identity that is stigmatized in their communities, along with discrimination, and racism,” the grant continued. “As a result, first romantic and sexual experiences are likely to differ from other adolescent groups in ways that make them particularly vulnerable to HIV.”

Ah, the always reliable dog whistles....."stigmatized, discrimination, and racism". Words which to any unaccountable government bureaucrat in the age of black-centricity and Hope and Change, mean instant approval for grant.

Even Ben Affleck can be a victim of race politics

So somebody hacked Sony's e-mails and discovered that Ben Affleck's family once owned slaves like 10 generations ago. You can read the story here. He was doing that PBS show where celebrities have a look at their genealogy and discover things and people in their past they weren't aware of.

Apparently among Ben's colorful family past, somebody once owned at least one slave. Predictably as a dingbat liberal, Ben moved heaven and earth to try to suppress this information heading into the release of his upcoming movie Batman, but cover-ups never work out. The media of course is acting like this is information that somehow impugns and bring into question Affleck's liberal street cred.

This is too stupid to even be a story. Unless Affleck himself owned slaves, how is this bad for him or the Batman franchise? But obviously, based on the transitive law of political associations, Affleck is obliged to apologize and grovel before the race alter, begging for forgiveness for something he didn't do.

Affleck is guilty only of trying to hide it. THAT is what makes him look bad. Are black people, who we are told to regard as sacred, now going to demand reparations from Affleck to rectify his wrongs?

I'll bet Al Sharpton will "suggest" that Affleck "donate" a few million to his organization in order to earn absolution for being born white and having slave owners in his distant past.

Exit question: how disingenuous and corrupt do blacks look if all whites have to do to earn their favor is pay them money?

When the hunter becomes the hunted, I smile

Much to my delight, an American professional big-game hunter on a legal safari in Zimbabwe was trampled to death by the elephant he was about to shoot. Predictably his friends and fellow hunters are upset by this, but isn't that the "sporting" part of hunting they're always telling us about?

If there's no danger in being hunted and killed by the animal you are hunting, then isn't what you are doing just slaughtering animals? To be fair, deer in the US over-breed and the herds need to be thinned so I don't have a problem with people killing deer, and I get the argument that by allowing the hunting of endangered species, we make them more valuable and therefor more likely to be protected by those who would profit from them.

But why not have tourists pay to hunt for poachers? I mean how serious are the murder laws in Africa after all? Obviously, not very serious. And I'm sure all hunters have fantasized at one point or another about murdering somebody. Then hunters would really have something to brag about back home......hunting and killing a poacher who's hunting you back, is far more impressive than shooting a dumb animal with a high-powered sniper rifle from the safety of 500 yards away.

I'm sure this guy's family is upset, understandably, but if you hunters want to claim that hunting is a sport, you have to accept that this is the sporting part of it.

Even harmless nerds get subjected to cultural awareness idiocy

Good grief! The sci-fi club at Stevens College in California is in big trouble with the trolls in the stupid diversity office because they dared to serve Mexican food at movie night.

According to the retards who claimed to be aggrieved due to the micro-aggression of cultural insensitivity, associating tacos with "aliens", even if they're space aliens, is insensitive to Hispanics who might be illegal immigrants. Now the members of the sci-fi club must attend mandatory "cultural competence training" seminars, whatever kind of nonsense that is. 

Can you believe the stupidity? This is like that idiot legislator who wanted NASA and the science community to stop using the term "black hole" because it made him think of African-American prostitutes.

Be careful out there people

Right in front of my building this morning I saw the aftermath of a collision between a bike and a car.....generally not a good outcome for the cyclist.

Based on the damage to the front wheel of the bike, the passenger-side car door, and where he was lying face-down in the street, I expertly deduced that he was motoring down the sidewalk and saw a red light and a "Walk" sign, giving him the ok to cruise on across the pedestrian crosswalk. What he didn't notice was the SUV turning right on red into his path.

Two faults here: 1, the lady in the SUV should have made sure the pedestrian crosswalk was clear before she turned right on red. 2, bikes shouldn't be in the pedestrian sidewalks or crosswalks....they are supposed to be operated in the street.

I didn't see a helmet and the guy was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, but if you are going to operate a bike unsafely in traffic, I guess the center of a medical school campus and like 3 major research hospitals full of doctors and nurses on the way to work is where you'd want to do it.

I hope he's ok, the ambulance arrived maybe 10 minutes after I walked by so it had just happened.

Deranged environmentalism and insanity rule SoCal

If the California drought weren't so tragic, in that it'll cause fruit and vegetable prices to skyrocket nationwide, I'd be laughing at the stupidity of a state that elects, year after year, moonbats like the ones governing that state. 

Militant environmentalists have exacerbated an already dire drought situation by insisting that a few species of useless, but endangered fish be cared for at all costs. The 2" Delta Smelt and the equally useless Steelhead Trout are the current favorites of the eco-nazis. 

As humans in SoCal are told to conserve water by bathing less, drinking less, and wearing dirty clothes, wildlife preservation boards are ordering reservoirs to flush millions of gallons of water in order to assist these stupid fish to the ocean. One such flush last week sent 15,000 acre-feet of water (4.9 Billion gals) down to the ocean to save just 23 trout. 

To environmentalists, no loss of human life or standard of living is worth as much as these two stupid fish.

Asking black teens to be quiet during a movie is both racist and dangerous to your health

Have you heard the joke: If they can make a movie called "White Men Can't Jump", they should also make one called, "Black People Can't Shut Up in the Movie Theater"?

Cindy Santamaria-Williams of Stroudsburg, PA (pop. 5,756) found that out the hard way when she asked these two model citizens to "shush" because they were talking loudly and swearing during the movie. After the movie these two feral teens and their friends jumped Cindy and beat the crap out of her.

It's not just in the large, urban centers that wild packs of entitled teens attack the innocent. The cultural rot and decay, that the current justice department dismisses casually, is everywhere.

No doubt Cindy has learned her lesson: expecting civil behavior from the politically preferred who we're told to regard as sacred is a tacit invitation for a beat down.

Jeb, a democrat's republican

From Breitbart -- Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush said he would strive to be like Lyndon Johnson, the Democrat famous for expanding the U.S. welfare state through the “Great Society,” if he were elected president.

To be fair, Jeb wasn't talking about specifically expanding the welfare state -- but isn't that what the Orwellian named "compassionate conservatism" really is? -- he was talking about LBJ's penchant for being able to cajole, finagle, bamboozle, slime, or otherwise convince his own party members or opposition party members to vote his way on legislation....."making the sausage" as they call it. 

Why Jeb sees this as a positive is anybody's guess, but then he's nothing if not an establishment republican, virtually indistinguishable from centrist democrats, and they enjoy the status-quo in DC every bit as much as the democrats. It's why the GOP machine is backing him, he won't rock the entrenchment boat too much.

Why is it that American president after American president believe that rogue countries in the middle east will tell us the truth and negotiate in good faith? They'll negotiate and strike whatever deal we need them to in order for us to go away, and then they go right back to doing exactly what we think we've bargained then out of doing.

There won't be any transparent inspections. There won't be any deadlines met. It'll all be political charades so the compliant American media can cement Obama's legacy as the grand peace-maker.

Anthony Stokes used his second chance at life wisely

Model citizen, 15 year old Anthony Stokes was originally denied a heart transplant because the hospital wisely recognized that he would never adhere to the post-transplant regimen and would instead continue his already distinguished life of juvenile delinquency. But because of media pressure due to his politically preferred skin pigmentation, the hospital was forced to give him a heart anyway at a cost of about $500,000.

20 months later, in what was a surprise to absolutely nobody, Anthony stole a car while robbing the home of a senior citizen and killed himself in a crash during the inevitable police chase.

As the government takes over the allocation of scarce health-care resources like organs, look for more patients like Anthony moving to the top of the transplant list in the name of social justice.

BlackBrunch accomplishes nothing

Sweet Melissa's, a cafe' outside of Atlanta, has been the target of two "BlackBrunch" protests. BlackBrunch is where black people invade eating establishments with mostly white diners and just stand around being annoying and whining about black men getting shot by the cops.

Here's an idea Aurielle, how about teaching your black men to stop committing crimes and be more respectful of the police? Michael Brown got shot because he was an over-sized criminal maniac who attacked a cop.

Stop doing that! And stop annoying diners at restaurants. You aren't gaining any sympathy for your cause, just resentment.
