My favorite historical British royal......the 1st Earl of Sandwich

I know you all are hung over this morning from all the celebrations for William and Kate having an heir to the British monarchy sometime yesterday. Well, I'm not as big on royal-watching as most dumb Americans, but if pressed for my favorite British royal of all time, it would have to be Edward Montagu, the 1st Earl of Sandwich and the eponymous inventor of sandwiches. I love sandwiches and Ed Montagu looks like he enjoys a good sandwich too.


I'll bet old Ed had a kitchen wench to make him sandwiches. That'd be the life.
