An African elephant has killed its keeper in New Zealand. The elephant was retired after 30 years of circus life and living in a zoo in a small town south of Auckland.
Look, I hate this for the woman who died, but what do you expect from an intelligent animal who'd been tortured for most of its life and forced to perform stupid tricks for the amusement of thoughtless, snot-nosed brats and their parents? I would rather the elephant had trampled a circus crowd and killed its trainer along with a few assorted clowns.
