It would seem the democrats are once again afraid of the tea party's influence on elections. Otherwise why would six democrat senators sign a letter to the IRS commissioner demanding that he investigate TEA Party activities and demand answers to ridiculous questions such as......

These documents are further undermined by a letter sent to the IRS Commissioner Shulman. Signed by six Senators, it requests that the commissioner investigate 501(c)(4) groups to determine whether they are engaging in substantial campaign activity, including opposition to any candidate. Who signed this letter? Senators Schumer, Franken, Udall, Shaheen, Whitehouse, Merkley and Bennet — all Democrats.
Dozens of TEA Party organisations around the country have received intimidating letters of investigation and the cost in money and effort to answer these questions will be great. Dastardly democrats like Chuck "the schmuck" Shumer believe that if the threat of investigation doesn't intimidate the TEA Party folks, the cost of compliance will at least distract them from influencing the re-election of Obama.
Bill Clinton used to use the IRS as his personal thug squad in order to intimidate political rivals and critics from challenging him. It's a tried-and-true tactic of democrats which shows that to them, any method of winning is OK no matter how immoral or wrong. What a horrible, contemptible bunch of people democrats are!
