It's been a while since I mocked an idiot for hurting himself. but since we just celebrated the holiday of blowing stuff up, it seems appropriate today....
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A homemade firework left a Colorado Springs man with serious injuries when it blew up and sent shrapnel into his torso.
The accident happened Sunday night, when police say a firecracker consisting of a metal tube attached to a fuse went off at a house in west Colorado Springs. Parts of the firecracker had been welded, but police are still investigating what was in the device.
If you have to weld your explosive device together, it's not a firecracker. It's a bomb! And that probably makes it illegal which means that when he's released from the ER, the cops will want to have a word with him. I wonder if blowing himself up and then going to jail for making a bomb is how he thought he'd be spending the 4th?
