Trial lawyers expecting Treasury Department to give them $1.6 Billion tax break
Apparently a bill sponsored by despicable traitor Arlen Specter and Arture Davis, which would have given trial lawyers, democrats biggest donors, huge tax breaks to make it cheaper to file speculative law suits, failed to pass Congress. Unless you were learning to put condoms on cucumbers instead of learning Civics 101 in dreadful government schools, Congress is the only body that can grant tax cuts to anybody. How then is it possible that the Treasury Dept, headed by the boy-wonder tax-cheat Tim Geithner, can unilaterally award tax breaks to smarmy trial lawyers who torment our country with frivolous, pernicious law suits?
The answer lies in the fact that of all the money donated to politicians by trial lawyers, 95% went to democrats. Obama owes them big-time and Geithner was directed to use authority that he doesn't constitutionally have to grant these tax breaks, as a way of payback for campaign cash.
This is no different than the home-mortgage deduction encouraging home ownership. Frivolous law suit deductions will encourage more frivolous law suits. That's all we need, shifty lawyers dragging the economy down with more predatory law suits designed to do nothing but enrich themselves.
