Highly paid, perky news reader Katie Couric had this to say about the state of sexism in America...
"I find myself in the last bastion of male dominance, and realizing what Hillary Clinton might have realized not long ago: that sexism in the American society is more common than racism, and certainly more acceptable or forgivable."
I think feminists who cry sexism do it as reflexively as blacks who cry racism in every situation without really knowing if there is any. They just do it because it's what they've always done. I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but I am saying it's not around every corner. And it's a stretch to expect me to believe that you are the victim of sexism when you make as much as Katie does. As for her comparison of herself to Hillary, nobody hated Hillary because she was a woman, we hated her because she was a unrepentant socialist, hellbent on the destruction of the American way of life and inserting herself as queen of America.
I checked, and Katie is the highest paid network anchor, period. Despite the rampant sexism that's been keeping her down, she's managed to eek out a $15million/year living. Katie's peers Brit Hume and Charlie Gibson make like 13 and 10 respectively.
Katie "cupcake" is fuming.....if it weren't for sexism, she'd be making even more.

Ed Ed Ed, you just don't get it. You see, because Katie Couric gets paid 15 mil a year for reading off of a TelePrompTer, sexism exists. You see, she gets paid that much so that she might not think that sexism exists. It's a very confusing logic to understand, one that only the brilliant can understand.
If she needs to find out about sexism, maybe she can spend a few week nights with Elliot Spitzer. He treats his women FINE!!!
She is acting stupidly and needs to grow up. She ain't to "perky" in her picture is she. She has a foul mouth and apparently little understanding of exactly what she does. She is replaceable. I vote for Erin Andrews.
was it intentional to call her "cupcake" in the title of an article about sexism, or are you just that much of a sexist? the latter I imagine.
Well since the article is about sexism, probably the former, not the latter. Also, when you think cupcake, do you always think of women? Because that would imply sexism as well.
Katie made her fortune by being a perky, cute, little cupcake. I guess sexism is only okay if she's using it to her advantage.
Excellent point as always Tracie. Women use their feminine wiles, stilettos, low-cut blouses, and intoxicating perfume to their advantage every day in business. Why isn't that inverted sexism? I guess the double standard is that it isn't sexism if you use it to your advantage but, it is sexism if somebody else uses it against you.
Hey that sounds very similar to racism.
She's just crying because she wanted to prove she was a serious journalist after all her goofing around on the Today show - and no one took her seriously. Poor Katie.
