The increasingly hapless Jay Carney tried to state with a straight face that President Obama wasn't told about the results of the investigation regarding IRS intimidation of Tea Party groups applying for 501c group status.
He's also trying to convince the press corps and the American people that Obama knew nothing during the Benghazi attack, Fast and Furious, or the AP illegal wire-tapping scandal, yet we are to believe he was intimately and heroically involved in killing Bin Laden.
One of two things must be true here: either Obama is the most ignorant, out of touch President in history, or his handlers, many of whom are left-overs from the Clinton years, know not to tell the President anything. It gives him what's known as "plausible deniability" when the shit hits the fan. The Clintons pioneered this technique of shielding the President from damage from involvement in corruption. The only thing is you have to have a patsy to take the fall when you get caught. Usually, that person is convinced to take the heat and agree to get publicly fired so the press will be satisfied, then that person is given a cushy private-sector job with huge salary and lavish benefits for having fallen on his sword to protect the President.
