“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

Thoughts on Boston

Sorry for the non-posting so far this week. I've been out of town working and didn't have convenient access to a computer. There were always other peoples' miserable children playing solitaire on the office computers at the hotels. Anyway, there's lots to discuss regarding Boston, obviously.

Initially when I heard about the bombing on Monday, my first thought was the same as my first thought whenever something unexpected happens, "How does this affect me?" Other than pissing me off, it doesn't really.

Shortly however, I realized that the race of the bomber(s) might have a profound affect on me. I openly hoped that the bomber turned out to be a Muslim rather than a white, Timothy McVeigh, lone-wolf character. If it turns out to be a white guy, then the media will delight in telling us about his TEA party affiliations, that he listens to Rush Limbaugh, he's a Christian right-to-lifer, is anti gun control, and watches FOX News. The media, Hollywood, and the Obama administration will use it to impugne everybody in America who is white and conservative.

If the perp turns out to be dark skinned however, the media and the Obama administration will caution us not  to jump to conclusions until all the facts are in and that we shouldn't paint people similar to him with the broad brush of guilt.

But whoever it ends up being, I'm tired of our lives being turned upside down out of fear of these people. We should bring back quick, public executions.....hanging, firing squad, even public lethal injection, if for no other reason than the satisfaction of watching this guy die. I don't think it'll deter the next attack, but at least we'll know we won't be paying to house the last one.

Here's how it will affect us. I predict legislation to somehow change the design of pressure cookers or maybe a ban on them.

It will also dork up the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on July 4th. The security will be tightened so much as to interfere with the experience. Before long footraces may be banned.

On another topic, how long until American football dies due to regulations. I don't watch football now so it won't other me one bit unless all the TV time is replaced by another version of reality TV.

By the way, you might want to consider selling your stock in Riddell.

Off to Wal-mart to stock up on pressure cookers before they are extinct!

Dave, Rep. Peter King (RINO) of NY is pushing for regulations on the sale of literally anything that can be used to make an IED....ie ball bearings, nails, and beauty products.

This guy has gone completely off the rails ever since hurricane Sandy. Ball bearings and beauty products?

Good grief!

Also, apparently he's trying to get Mark Levin off the air in DC....that speaks volumes about his treachery.
