It didn't take new democrat and traitor Arlen Specter very long to start using the dead to advance his political agenda...
Jack Kemp would still be alive if the federal government had done a better job funding cancer research, Sen. Arlen Specter said Sunday, one day after Kemp, the 1996 Republican vice presidential nominee and former congressman, died of cancer.
Craven democrats using solemn memories of the dead to galvanize public support or make political allies is nothing new. John Edwards used his own dead son to cozy up to John Kerry for heaven's sake. Cindy Sheehan sullied the memory of her dead son for years just to attack Bush. The Jersey Girls parlayed the deaths of their husbands on 9/11 into a lucrative speaking/appearance tour, against Bush. But perhaps the worst example of this was the memorial service in 2005 for Minnesota Sen. Paul Wellstone, his wife, and daughter who all died in a plane crash, that the democrats turned into a cheap, embarassing campaign rally. There is no political stunt or sacred memory that is beneath garden-variety democrats to use to their self-serving advantage.
