Nutty, far-left liberals were upset when Rick Warren was tapped to pray over The One. What about Joseph Lowry and this bizarre, idiotic poem of sorts?Benediction at Obama 's inauguration, Rev. Joseph Lowery:
'Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when
black will not be asked to get in back,
when brown can stick around...
when the red man can get ahead, man...
when yellow will be mellow...
and when white will embrace what is right.
That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen. Say Amen'...
That sounded like that Paul Simon song, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover. Think of the hubris you have to have in order to take the most serious, somber, and dignified moment in your career, a President's inaugural benediction, and offer up a Johnny Cochran/Jesse Jackson, clown-like, cartoon mockery of a prayer. Unbelievable! These race hustlers just can't help grandstanding when somebody puts a mic and camera in front of them. In fact, the bigger the stage, the more outrageous the grandstand.
Even Obama had to be rolling his eyes at that.

It made me chuckle in the face of seriousness. Spiced with equal parts of humor, compassion, and sincerity. Hopefully we can all move forward my brothers, and sisters of the human race. Today, January 20th, 2009 brought us closer together than we have ever been. May we continue to be inspired, and focused.
