When silly eco-alarmists warned that global warming actually may cause global cooling, it signaled the end of the preposterous, global warming hoax. Yet they insisted on clinging to the idiotic notion that the polar bear is endangered because of unrecoverable arctic ice melt....well hippie, not so fast....Thanks to a rapid rebound in recent months, global sea ice levels now equal those seen 29 years ago, when the year 1979 also drew to a close.
Ice levels had been tracking lower throughout much of 2008, but rapidly recovered in the last quarter. In fact, the rate of increase from September onward is the fastest rate of change on record, either upwards or downwards.
The data is being reported by the University of Illinois's Arctic Climate Research Center, and is derived from satellite observations of the Northern and Southern hemisphere polar regions.
I guess with the certain coming explosion of the polar bear population thanks to all that ice, the eco-kooks will insist that we place seals and eskimos, polar bears' favorite between-meal snacks, on the endangered-species list. I wonder how it feels to a deranged hippie to have Mother Earth prove how abysmally wrong he is about literally everything he believes in?
