“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

U.N. idiocy

First, I'd like to thank David and Reid for brilliantly guest-blogging in my absence. Great job guys! Now on to liberal ridiculing...

Just when we got rid of Kofi Annan, the most corrupt UN leader in the sordid history of that embarassing collection of degenerates and despots, we get Ban Ki-moon, who turns out to be an global warming zealot...

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said that the slaughter in Darfur was triggered by global climate change and that more such conflicts may be on the horizon, in an article published Saturday.
"The Darfur conflict began as an ecological crisis, arising at least in part from climate change," Ban said in a Washington Post opinion column.
UN statistics showed that rainfall declined some 40 percent over the past two decades, he said, as a rise in Indian Ocean temperatures disrupted monsoons.
"This suggests that the drying of sub-Saharan Africa derives, to some degree, from man-made global warming," the South Korean diplomat wrote

In case you haven't figured it out yet, global warming hysteria is a thin veil for an attempt to tax the great wealth of the U.S. The U.N. wants nothing more than to sink it's tentacles into the powerful U.S. economy. With the help of the useful idiots in the democratic party, the blame for anything bad that happens in the world will increasingly be blamed on imaginary global warming, and since the U.S. is the biggest producer of CO2, it will be taxed as a form of punishment...by whom else? Why the all powerful U.N. of course.

If you want to see money seized from the U.S. economy in the form of U.N. taxes, then vote for a democrat in '08.

Darfur genocide - an environmental conflict. Ha!

This Ban Ki-Moon character is an idiot. The slaughter of the hundreds of thousands of innocent people in this region came from 2 waring sides trying to control the economics of the area. Temperature and lack of rain are not to blame ( although I will now use this as a defense when I steal water from my neighbors and they turn me in -forcing me to kill them during the current drought laws we are under).
I find it repulsive and applalling that someone, supposedly purporting peace, would suggets this as part of the problem. Somebody should show what it feels like to be dismembered and tortured for a while. Maybe he and the UN would change their tune.
Remember folks this is the group that allowed for all o the Serbian genocide to go under their noses until a brave American pilot proved to the world that they were wrong. What will it take now? How many live will be lost? When will the UN do the right thing - ever?
