Democrats have no shame

Despite the fact that by all accounts of those closest to him, Jared Loughner was essentially apolitical, the hard left in this country go ahead and try to make hay off of it. This is from his former best friend...

He did not watch TV. He disliked the news. He didn’t listen to political radio. He didn’t take sides. He wasn’t on the left. He wasn’t on the right.

Yesterday Hillary had this to say, “Based on what I know, this is a criminal defendant who was in some ways motivated by his own political views, who had a particular animus toward the congresswoman.”

Proud socialist Bernie Sanders deplorably tried to increase campaign donations by linking the shooting to republicans who would try to defeat him electorally.

And that idiot James Clyburn is using the shooting to justify bringing back the stupidly named Fairness Doctrine to silence talk radio.

To craven liberals, every single event presents a political opportunity and the more tragic the event, the further they reach politically. Democrats deal in fear and loathing in order to shackle the American people with their dreadful agenda because they can't pass it the normal way....Americans won't have it. Democrats lay in the bushes, wringing their clammy hands, waiting for something horrible to happen so they can pounce politically while Americans are worried and distracted by the tragedy.

Shame on all these treacherous Democrats!

Excuse for light posting

Sorry for the light posting the past couple of days, but I've been seriously under the weather. Once a year I get this really bad cough and cold that lasts about a week and it just sucks all the inspiration out of me. I'll try to get back on the horse today so stay tuned.

Left-wing media bias on display

Remember immediately after the Fort Hood massacre by a deranged Muslim, the media, including Wolf Blitzer and Pres. Obama cautioned all Americans not to pre-judge the motives of the shooter until all the evidence was in and not "rush to judge" before we have the facts? We were lectured by Blitzer about impugning all Muslims because of the acts of one lunatic. We were chastised by Blitzer and others jumping to conclusions and warned about emotional, inflammatory rhetoric.

Well, ever since the Tuscon shooting, Blitzer and others have been trying to closely link Sarah Palin to the shooter of Rep. Gifford, a democrat. CNN showed repeatedly the clip of Rep. Gifford complaining about a cross-hair over her district on Palin's website leading up to the 2010 elections. Even possible tea-party membership was wondered about for the shooter despite the fact that not a single shred of evidence that this guy had anything whatsoever to do with any tea party exists.

Where were the cautions against rushing to judge this time? Why didn't Obama caution the American people against inflammatory rhetoric? Is it because Rep. Gifford is a democrat and this can be used as a cudgel with which to pound the tea-party, Sarah Palin, and 2nd amendment conservatives? What if this had been a republican who got shot? Wolf and Obama would be cautioning against rushing to judge the shooter as a liberal or associated with any liberal cause.

What a corrupt, decrepit media we have in this country that they would politicize something like this within 24hours of it happening. Wolf should be ashamed. I'm ashamed of him and if they were honest, his wife, kids, and his parents are probably ashamed of him too.

New York City turning into Detroit

New York City -- Labor unions causing deaths by not cleaning up snow, rat population exploding because union garbage men left thousands of tons of garbage unpicked-up, and now a citizen attacked and almost killed by vicious dogs. How much more bad can happen to those people? What a tragic dump of a city! I've never had the slightest desire to go there.

Detroit and New Orleans are the two worst cities in America and they have been completely mismanaged by democrats for decades....no coincidence that. By electing that effette idiot Bloomberg, New Yorkers have shown that the Detroit city-model is the one for which they want to strive.

Good luck with that....suckers!

Arizona is the immigration canary in the coalmine

Tired of the federal government's continued failure to lift even a finger to stem the tide of illegal aliens invading it's border with Mexico, where they carelessly leave 2,000 tons of garbage yearly, Arizona has launched a website to draw attention to the problem of alien garbage dumping along its border with Mexico.

Despicable democrats think illegal aliens will be an unbeatable voting block while craven republicans want to give their friends in business cheap labor. Both are corrupt, depraved, and spineless for failing to address the alien problem because it benefits them politically not to.

The degenerated condition of Arizona's border is a canary in the coalmine that is America, if the border isn't closed and immigration of third-world peasants with their hands out isn't controlled.

The Israel/Palestine question of land rights

This is a map of the lands occupied by the divided Israeli state(Kingdoms of Israel and Judah), the Palestinians(Philistines), and other tribes around 830BC. Israel was more or less where it is now and the Palestinians were more or less in what is modern Gaza. So where's the hysteria and indignance over Israel "stealing land" and expatriating poor, put-upon Palestinians coming from?

Answer: sheer, unadulterated hatred of Jews, plain and simple.

The New York Times plays the race card

New York's most famous fish-wrapper wasted no time in mocking the reading of the Constitution aloud on the House floor by republicans, now in the majority.....

"In any case, it is a presumptuous and self-righteous act, suggesting that they alone understand the true meaning of a text that the founders wisely left open to generations of reinterpretation. Certainly the Republican leadership is not trying to suggest that African-Americans still be counted as three-fifths of a person."

I've heard this red-herring argument many times before and I'll bet that every single person who's ever used it thinks that each black person was actually counted as 3/5ths of a person during pre-Civil War census taking. Well, here's the truth.....

In the Philadelphia Convention of 1787, the northern(anti-slave) states struck a compromise with the southern(pro-slave) states regarding the census. Northern states didn't want any slaves counted and southern states wanted all slaves counted. It was called not surprisingly the "Three Fifths Compromise". It was designed to reduce the congressional representation of slave states and increase the relative representation of northern states by counting all the non-free people in the slave states and then multiplying that total number by 3/5ths.

It was not, as race hustlers, craven democrat politicians, and NYT op/ed writers like to tell you, that the Constitution viewed each black slave as 3/5ths of a person. It was about enumeration and nothing else.

That the NYT would trot out this tired, false argument shows what despicable excuses for journalists are employed there, why nobody reads it any more, and fully explains why the stock price is below junk status. What a rag! I wouldn't line a litter box with the NYTimes.

USA vs China in the Pacific theater

For anybody who's interested, regular reader Bill sent in a link to AviationWeek that details a possible conflict between the US and China over Taiwan. It talks about the problems with force projection, basing, and the sheer number of assets China has compared to ours. The article is an interesting one and don't miss the comment thread either. There are a lot of interesting points made there too.

Looks like the Chinese have themselves a stealth fighter

The photographs, published on several unofficial Chinese and foreign defense-related websites, appear to show a J-20 prototype making a high-speed taxi test—usually one of the last steps before an aircraft makes its first flight—according to experts on aviation and China's military.

Ok Bill and David, or any other regular readers who are familiar with military matters, is this for real? Why does the Chinese stealth fighter look exactly like ours? Did they steal the F-22 technology like they do with everything else, or is this, as the article supposes, a mock up designed to scare everybody?
