I don't know how many of you watch American Idol, but last night there was this old man who came in to sing. I'll paraphrase how it went down...
Simon: How old are you?
Man:64
Simon:What are you doing here?
Man: My wife and I are big fans of the show and she came down with cancer a few months ago. She died two days ago and I'd like to sing her a song if I may.
Simon(clearly blown away): Of course.
Well, not only was it a beautiful and touching song but the old coot could flat out sing. The whole panel of judges was crying and my wife even caught me in a moment of misty-eyedness.
Seriously, if you watched that and didn't well up...you are stone cold dead inside.
