“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”

A race litmus test for Hollywood awards?

Al Sharpton's incessant bleating about diversity may finally backfire on him. The Oscar committee, whoever they are, don't give a rat's furry ass about his threats and extortion.
Blacks only make up 13% of the population (though if you go by politically correct TV and magazine advertising you'd swear it was at least half) it stands to reason that occasionally they don't get picked. Must a black person be included in everything that happens in America, by law?
From this point on, every nomination of a black person for any Hollywood award will be viewed skeptically as a token nomination and/or win just to keep Sharpton quiet. There won't officially be an asterisk by the nomination, but in the minds of viewers it'll be there. Sharpton's rabble-rousing will permanently taint the otherwise deserving nominations of black people who give amazing performances.

After Sharpton visits town with his emergency diversity club, I'm betting there will forever more be a litmus test for Hollywood awards in which a black person must be nominated in every category.

Don't you remember MLK's famous speech? "I have a dream - that one days movies will be judged based on the race of the producer and actors! I have a dream."
