It's never too soon to begin strategizing the hostile colonization of other planets and it looks like we have a target....
Scenerio 1(likely): by the time we figure out how to get to a planet 600 light years away, we'll be so advanced that destroying the local beings and taking their planet for our own will be child's play.
Scenerio 2(more likely): we are already being observed by the folks from this planet and it will be us who are colonized and enslaved by them, and I for one, welcome our Kepler-22b overlords.

What evidence do you have, Ed, that Kepler-22b has sentient beings or beings of any kind, for that matter? Inquiring minds want to know.
You don't get out much do you Isaac? You don't read the scifi humor between the lines? There aren't even any pictures of this "planet". It's all mathmatical calculation at this point, but more tellingly, evidence of NASA's desperation to keep people interested in space exploration and thus the money flowing. As a scifi fan and lifetime geek, I'm just having a little fun with it.
I mean who doesn't enjoy theorizing about the possibility of aliens, what they might look like, how big or small, hostile of docile, and do they have 3 boobs?
