I can't verify this as I borrowed it from a friend on Facebook, but I can certainly believe it. Now I know why McNuggets are so disgusting to me....
Say hello to mechanically separated chicken. It’s what all fast-food chicken is made from, things like chicken nuggets and patties. Also, the processed frozen chicken in the stores is made from it. Basically, the entire chicken is smashed and pressed through a sieve—bones, eyes, guts, and all. It comes out looking like this. There’s more: because it’s crawling with bacteria, it will be washed with ammonia, soaked in it, actually. Then, because it tastes gross, it will be reflavored artificially. Then, because it is weirdly pink, it will be dyed with artificial color. But hey, at least it tastes good, right?
That's horrifying! Makes you think twice before ordering that McNugget meal again. I don't eat chicken nuggets but my teenager does. I'll have to show him this...heh heh.
UPDATE: My friend Pat over at Belchspeak alerted me to the coincidence of this being vegetarian month or something, and the release of stuff like this. Looking more closely at this picture, it might be how they make Bubble Yum bubble gum and all pink bubble gum for that matter. Still, it's kind of gross.

Ed,
Love the new theme! Looks great! And I don't think that is an accurate description at all of how McDonalds makes chicken nuggets. Sounds like some vegan propaganda to me.
Yeah, I don't like the nuggets either, but Im certain they use real meat.
I hope it's not and you're probably right Pat, since it's vegetarian awareness month, they're probably putting all kinds of stuff out there to scare people.
Yeah, even if it is any food product, you don't extrude anything- not candy, not vegetable and certainly not meat into an unlined empty cardboard box as boxes have foreign particles in it.
I looked around online last night and couldn't find anyone else calling bullshit on this. But if it looks too sensational to be true it usually is.
