Taxpayer funding of the arts isn't in the Constitution

Here's yet another example of your tax dollars being used to promote the thoroughly debunked global-warming agenda, masqueraded as art......

The National Science Foundation has awarded a $700,000 grant to the Civilians, a New York theater company, to finance the production of a show about climate change. “The Great Immensity" tells the story of Polly, a photojournalist who disappears while working in the rain forests of Panama. The grant is a rare gift to an arts organization from the foundation, a federal agency that pays for science, engineering and mathematics research and education.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: no tax dollars should be taken from citizens to fund "the arts" for the idle enjoyment of other citizens. I don't care if it's the symphony orchestra, art museum, or a jazz hands production of Kill Bill II, if a community wants any of this stuff for their own enjoyment, they can fund it with donations, fund drives, and ticket sales.
