In order to avoid criticism from the media, many government offices are being encouraged to hold their conferences in cities that don't seem to be "too fun". They have been told to avoid places like Reno, Las Vegas, and Orlando.....
Instead, employees at some big agencies, like the U.S. Department of Agriculture, are being encouraged to host meetings in more buttoned-down places.
Cool! Now maybe Birmingham can get some convention business. We certainly fit the description of "not fun". If you play golf, it's the best place in the world but, if you don't, there's only drinking and eating left to do.
