---WOODSTOCK, Ill. — Not many illegal immigrants ask to be deported. But Jose Vallejo of Mexico did, rather than face a potential prison term of 30 years for sex assault here in the United States. And he nearly got his wish.
Well of course he did. If he gets his wish and is deported, he'll sneak right back in next month. As much as I hate the idea of our tax dollars providing medical/dental care, meals, warm showers, and a clean place to sleep to an illegal alien for 30 years, the 4 year old victim deserves better justice than to have this animal deported. An appropriate and cheap punishment for this guy would be to lock him in a windowless room for 5 minutes with the victim's father who has an aluminum bat.
---TEHRAN, Iran - Iran has barred entry to 38 inspectors from the watchdog International Atomic Energy Agency after hard-liners demanded retaliation for U.N. sanctions imposed on Tehran last month, officials said on Monday.
Iran better be careful or the U.N. will pen a dozen or so harshly worded letters.
---Researchers at the Duke University Medical Centre have identified a particular brain region that predicts whether people tend to be selfish or altruistic.
I like the concept of altruism. It's people having nice things done for them, by people other than me.
