Last November, James Loney, Harmeet Singh Sooden, both Canadians, Norman Kember of Britain, and American Tom Fox, were kidnapped in Baghdad while working with the Chicago-based Christian Peacemaker Teams. After the tortured body of Tom Fox was found on a Baghdad street riddled with bullets last month, the worst was feared for the remaining three men.
On the 22nd of March the hostages were found when American-led multi-national forces raided a house in western Baghdad, acting on information from one of two detainees interrogated late Wednesday night.
When asked to comment on the Multinational Forces who risked life and limb to free them, the three poster-children for Stockholm Syndrome issued this astoundingly unappreciative statement: "We believe that the illegal occupation of Iraq by Multinational Forces is the root cause of the insecurity which led to this kidnapping and so much pain and suffering in Iraq. The occupation must end. “Today, in the face of this joyful news, our faith compels us to love our enemies even when they have committed acts which caused great hardship to our friends and sorrow to their families.
“We pray that Christians throughout the world will, in the same spirit, call for justice and for respect for the human rights of the thousands of Iraqis who are being detained illegally by the U.S. and British forces occupying Iraq. “During these past months, we have tasted of the pain that has been the daily bread of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis. Why have our loved ones been taken? Where are they being held? Under what conditions? How are they? Will they be released? When?
Not one word of thanks or appreciation. Just a self-righteous harangue one might expect from useful-idiot, Leftists agitators. And they always seem to take the side against America. That’s what this is about. It’s not about peace; it’s about getting some attention by hating America.
“…we have tasted of the pain that has been the daily bread…”. Who talks like that? They ought to be on their knees thanking American, British and Canadian troops who delivered them from dying a Tom Fox death.
The real story, but one the main stream media will not tell you, is that these same Multinational Force soldiers would go in and save them again and again if they had to, regardless of their wretched thanklessness. These three stooges-of-the-Left didn’t do anything to be proud of. The soldiers are the heroes of this story.
