“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”
Socialist Party presidential candidate Norman Thomas

Media pulling out all the stops to promote Obamacare sign-up
Heh heh, how pathetic is it that on the day when all 310 million of us are supposed to log on to the Obamacare exchange sites and happily buy insurance from our paternal government, the lapdog media could only find one kid who actually did it. And then that kid, Chad Henderson from Flintstone, Ga, turns out to be an Organized For Action volunteer. (OFA is an organization that mobilizes the young and stupid for Obama)
More hilariously, Chad never actually bought a policy. He looked at them, but he didn't actually buy one. So to demonstrate how wonderful Obamacare is, the media could only find one kid who attempted it and even he didn't buy anything.
Giant Chinese hornet, possibly worse than killer bees
This is the giant Chinese hornet or Vespa mandarinia. In three villages, it has killed in three years, 41 people and injured like 1,600. This terrifying hornet is highly aggressive and uses a large black tooth on the front of its mandible to burrow into the victim and inject its toxic venom. The venom is extremely potent and kills flesh leaving huge holes in the flesh, and destroys red blood cells so quickly that if the victim is attacked by multiple hornets, enough venom might be injected so that the kidneys and liver can fail, that is if the victim survives the anaphylactic shock from the venom's toxicity.
Good grief! I have an elevated sensitivity to normal yellow-jacket stings. I can't imagine living in a part of the world where this was an environmental threat. My skin is crawling just thinking about these things in my yard.
Mesa, Az parents affected by the desert heat apparently
This is how absurd the zero-tolerance, anti-gun hysteria at US schools has gotten. In Mesa, Az. a uniformed police officer dropped his daughter off at school and some deranged, hysterical parents evidently were terrified that he had a gun on his hip. The moron that serves as the principal actually called the officer and asked him not to wear his uniform on school grounds again.
If you're terrified of a school shooting, isn't a police officer in uniform the BEST thing you can imagine being at your school every morning?
No doubt the principal also called all the violent lunatics in town and asked them not to bring guns to the elementary school, just to be fair.
If this guy shows up at your kid's school, wouldn't you want an armed police officer there?

Muslims' self-esteem hit hard by shutdown
Of NASA's 18,000 employees, 17,500 were deemed non-essential and were furloughed during the shutdown. The remaining 500 work on the Space Station project keeping astronauts alive.....I'd say that was essential.
What did the rest do, work on Obama's Muslim Outreach Program to make Muslims feel good about their entirely imaginary historical contributions to math, science, medicine, literature, the arts, philosophy, technology, architecture, engineering, etc.? Muslims' self-esteem must be suffering now that no NASA personnel are available to lie to them about their usefulness to the world.
I think we can do without those 17,000 people on the payroll. In the embarrassing absence of a flight program, NASA has but three jobs to do in my opinion, 500 for keeping people alive on the ISS, 75 for running the Space Camp in Huntsville, and like 6 or 7 for keeping an eye out for aliens.....so that's 582 people that are doing anything worthwhile over at NASA these days.

Railroaded toward a collectivist oligarchy
Fed up reader David had this to offer this morning:
"The Fed government is partially shut down. First, despite warnings of the sky falling, I doubt few will notice. In a way I'm glad for the shut down. I think it demonstrates just how f#cked up our politicians are. I mean they haven't produced a budget in years, they are paralyzed buy their differences so as to be ineffective. I hope the silver lining to the shut down is that they are all voted out of office, republicans and democrats. Really, this is no way to run a country.
Oh, and I was sick listening to all the talk about the affordable healthcare act. The first words out of their mouths were the admission that no one knew how much it was going to cost. And then they would quickly shift to talks of federal subsidies for those with need, WTF! If it's so affordable why all the talk about subsidies? I was sick with anger at the stupidity of all the reporters as they talked about this. Is it just me or do people really not see what's going on?"
David
My good friend Dave has a right to be pissed. The Tea Party sees what's going on in 20/20 vision, but the vast majority of Obama voters do not. The media know, but they view themselves as part of the elite ruling class, above the burdened daily lives of the vast unwashed underclass to which we belong. And they have too much professionally invested in the perceived success of the first black President to dare question his motives or even the disastrous outcomes.
The quisling American media are unembarrassed by their support of European-style collectivism being imposed on the US, so they'll support Obama no matter what he does and blame intransigent Tea Party republicans for anything that goes wrong.
Regular reader Isaac asked simply, "Where is John Galt"?
Where is our John Galt, where indeed?

Khloe Kardashian sets the tastefulness bar still lower
Half-witted whore Khloe Kardashian whined about her wardrobe problems on their reality show Sunday night...
"I always have camel-toe. I can't control it."
That's why they invented panties, you miserable tramp. Do all the women in this talentless family run around without panties as a lifestyle? I'm not a prude. I get a woman going commando once in a while to privately turn her husband on for date night, but as a daily lifestyle?
Good grief, no wonder Muslims hate us....these are our female role models.

The 2nd amendment, at its most fundamental
I found this over at Moonbattery. It is about as simple an explanation of the purpose of the 2nd amendment as I've seen. You can whine about state militias and all that, but the bill of rights are individual rights, not collective rights as overseen by the government, which would be the case if the 2nd amendment pertained to the national guard as dumb liberals like to claim.
Tax collectors misplace $67million in taxes......ironic, huh?
The IRS says that it cannot account for $67 million that belonged in an Obamacare-implementation slush fund. Really? These are the same people who regularly intimidate hard-working Americans for misplacing a gas receipt from a business trip 5 years ago, but they cannot keep up with $67 million of our money?
Kind of ironic, isn't it?
Yet the administration shrugs as if it's not news and a pile of missing money that large is just an unfortunate aspect of the government seizing control of 1/7th of the US economy.
Here's Obama searching around the white house for the missing $67 million.

Dumb republicans hand democrats a gift
Republicans are demanding a one-year delay in the full implementation of Obamacare. Why on Earth would they do that? Ostensibly the demand is part of a list of requirement to which the administration must agree if it wants to avert a government shutdown.
Assuming a government shutdown is a bad thing, I approve of shutdowns, every day the government fails to function is another day that our liberties aren't supplanted to the imperial state, why would the republicans want to delay what they are saying is the humiliating collapse of the worst piece of legislation ever to be crammed down the throats of the taxpayers? A one year delay would put off the reality of how painful Obamacare will be until after the midterm elections. A delay is a gift to red-state democrats whom voters might blame if Obamacare is as awful as we know it to be, and it allows the administration to dole out still more waivers to their friends.
Let it be implemented and then stand back and watch it collapse on its own. That way the Obama-friendly media cannot blame republicans for being obstructionists. The blame will rightly be entirely on the administration and other democrats. Don't give them an out.

Why not Banana Pudding Lovers Visibility Day too?
Did you know that today is Bisexual Visibility Day? Well, the Obama administration knows it and, having apparently resolved all the other crises around the world that affect Americans, they are hosting a round-table discussion about bisexuality in America. Yes, seriously.
Is this really something the taxpayers should be robbed to pay for? What happened, could Obama not dredge up a foursome to waste time playing golf and decided to do this instead? What is the purpose of making your orientation more "visible" anyway? If is not to achieve special protected status as a favored minority, then what's the purpose of a day of recognition?
I'd like to have a Banana Pudding Lovers Visibility Day, after all, thought it doesn't define me, banana pudding is an important part of who I am. I really don't see the difference.
Celebrate with me tomorrow, on September 25th.....Banana Pudding Lovers Visibility Day. I'm sure the white house will have a round table discussion on banana pudding for our benefit.
