Chicago rightfully lost it's bid to host the 2016 Olympics, despite Barry and Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey gracing Copenhagen with a personal visit. Here's CNN's reaction...heh, heh....



The arrogant CNN anchor cannot believe that anybody on Earth would dare go against the wishes of The One. I think Rahm Emanual had better realize that the bloom is off the Obama rose....it has been for a long time. The world doesn't swoon and get the vapors the way Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann do, every time Obama speaks. Nor are they mesmerized like simple-minded school children, by his glycerin-tongued delivery of speeches he reads off a teleprompter, the way half of America still is.

Good for Rio de Janeiro! This'll be the first time the Olympics have been hosted by a south American city.

Philippines declare State of Calamity....world giggles

Now before you send me a bunch of hate-mail, I'm not making light of the awful weather situation in the Philippines but, this headline struck me as funny....

Oct. 2 (Bloomberg) -- The Philippines declared a national “state of calamity” as Typhoon Parma headed for Luzon, where recovery efforts continue six days after Tropical Storm Ketsana devastated Manila and its surroundings, leaving 293 people dead.

"State of Calamity"? Why not State of Emergency like everybody else? I guess "emergency" doesn't adequately describe the devastation caused by the typhoon. So I started thinking what might qualify as a more severe state than "calamity". Perhaps a "State of Cataclysm" or "State of Apocalypse" but, the authorities are probably reserving those declarations until the Tribulation associated with the rise of the anti-Christ, what with the bothersome pestilence, Armageddon, and unprecedented human suffering we'll experience during the last days of Earth.

Oct 1 -- World Vegetarian Day......heh, heh

Who knew that silly vegetarians had a day for celebrating their denial that they are carnivores? If you have vegetarian friends, take them out for a salad tonight(no bacon bits), if they can muster the energy.


If only 20-something, half-naked hotties were allowed to be spokespersons for vegetarianism, the movement would stand a chance of being met with something other than scorn, mockery, and ridicule by people with sense.

Obama.....lead, follow, or get out of the way in Afghanistan!

In the one month since Gen. McChrystal asked Obama for more troops in Afghanistan, 43 Americans have lost their lives. It is outrageous for a commander in chief to ignore a theater commander like this. But Obama has more important things to worry about than Americans dying in God-forsaken, poppy fields half way around the world, fighting a war we'll likely not win. He's got his left base to appease.....the radical, peace-at-any-cost cowards who got him elected. The administration is hemorrhaging support over its disastrous domestic agenda and the last group they want to alienate is the anti-war peaceniks.....who he'll lose of he sends more troops to Afghanistan.

Look, I'm about as skeptical as anybody about the likelihood of successful nation-building in a country without a functing government and partially controlled by the Taliban and drug lords. I'm almost to the point of saying we should stop sacrificing Americans' lives in places where it does no good and come home, but if Obama is unwilling to pull out then he should support totally, the war effort there. Leaving McChrystal high and dry while our boys die is unforgivable!

I think this shows just what an amateur Obama is and what weak, panty-waste's he's surrounded himself with. These people are worse than the Clintons in terms of politicizing every single breath Obama takes. He can be political about the domestic stuff but, lives are being lost over there.....DO SOMETHING ALREADY!!! Be a leader or be a follower but, Obama can't just stand around waiting for the Afghanistan problem to go away.

Hollywood circles the wagons on Polanski's behalf

UPDATE on the Hollywood defense being mounted on behalf of the degenerate child molester, Roman Polanski. In case you don't know, he's a famous Hollywood director who, in 1978, drugged and repeatedly molested a 13 year old girl, whom he was photographing in Jack Nicholson's house. Polanski was 44 at the time.

You may also remember that Sharon Tate, who was murdered by the Manson gang, was Polanski's pregnant wife at the time of her murder.

Today, Sharon's sister, is claiming that the rape by Polanski of the 13 year old was actually consensual sex. I assume she said this with a straight face. But a 13 year old cannot consent to anything, certainly not to having sex with a dirty, old pervert. To Hollywood reprobates, any, and I mean ANY kind of sex is not only OK but, encouraged, especially if you're a depraved, tortured artist. The more perverted and disgusting your sex acts, the more artistic you become in their eyes. One need look no further than prime-time TV to see that anonymous hookups, infidelity, and children having sex is all the rage in Hollywood.

Look for more shameless celebrities to argue against the extradition of Polanski from Switzerland, to face sentencing for his crimes, on the grounds that he's a talented artist and should be given special latitude given his cinematic contributions, kind of the way the media gave Ted Kennedy special latitude regarding the death of Mary Jo Kopechne, because of his support of health-care reform.

Dan Rather's career....slip-sliding away

Nothing's funnier than watching a spiteful liberal's career tumble down the slippery slope of failure and crash below, on the jagged rocks of obscurity. I present to you, Dan Rather....

NEW YORK (Reuters) – A New York state appeals court on Tuesday dismissed former TV newsman Dan Rather's lawsuit against CBS Corp in which Rather claimed he was made a scapegoat in a scandal over a 2004 report on then-President George W. Bush's military record.

The ruling on Tuesday by a panel of judges of the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division said Rather's $70 million complaint should be dismissed in its entirety and that a lower court erred in denying CBS's motion to throw out the lawsuit.

Heh, heh....what's worse to a former, self-important news anchor than being forgotten entirely, other than being a pitiful, historical footnote, and then be unceremoniously tossed into the dustbin of history....while you're still alive to be humiliated by it, in the news you used to anchor? 'Cause if there's something worse, I can't think of it.

He deserves exactly what he's getting, for trying to orchestrate a presidential election by presenting as fact, documents that he knew to be phony at the time he presented them. And somewhere in Texas, Bush is smirking right about now and thinking, "What a putz Rather is!" And he's right.

Women, never get involved with a liberal man

Degenerate child predator Roman Polanski got arrested by Swiss authorities regarding his 31 year-old guilty plea for drugging, and repeatedly raping and sodomizing, a 13 year old girl, Samantha Gailey, in the Los Angeles home of Jack Nicholson. He fled the country and has never returned though he enjoys the praise and accolades of Hollywood's elite actors, no strangers to perversion themselves, who are arguing against his extradition from Switzerland.

This is Chappaquiddick all over again. Ted Kennedy can leave a girl to die in a river and liberals ignore it because he's for health-care reform. Roman Polanski can drug and rape a 13 year old girl and liberals ignore that because he made a couple of movies they like. The lesson here is that to depraved liberals, your support of leftist causes, and that you made a couple of popular movies, more than outweigh the life and rape respectively, of women who you victimized.

The moral of this story for women here is: the more popular the leftist is among his peers, the less your life and safety are worth in comparison to his "accomplishments".

Buffoons with guns and oil, are still dangerous

In response to the existence of NATO(North Atlantic Treaty Organization) two of the world's most vile, extremist dictators are making a pact, on behalf of their respective countries, to form the South Atlantic Treaty Organization. The only problem is that Qaddafi's Libya and Chavez's Venezuela are both above the equator and neither is anywhere near the South Atlantic....morons!

I'm still laughing at them but, it would be far funnier if they didn't harbor such hatred of the West and particularly the US. And though both are comically imbecilic, they wish great harm to America and our allies. I'd like to take them less seriously, for the comedy alone but, they pose a serious threat to world stability.
